1 - I traveled to all seven continents by the time I was 30. 2 - I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro 3 - I have bunji jumped (Vic Falls) and jumped out of an airplane (Moab), even though I'm terrified of heights (litterally shaking and they had to push me out of the plain and off the plank where I bunjied). 4 - My long term jobs…

45 seconds should be doable- that's 15 seconds a mile.... If you get in three training runs where you up your speed, you should be able to accomplish that no problem.... I shaved 12 minutes off my half this weekend- most of that was by NOT walking, but I was keeping about a 9:20 pace for the first 7 miles too..... The last…

I just got this ap, I just gotta figure how much data I use when I run though on my VZW iPhone.... As soon as I get that squared away I'll add you- you know me, I post daily....

You got me.... :) I love heading up to Portland... You guys have some awesome trails and amazing food!!

I'm from NH... I love to go snowshoeing and skiing... If the sidewalks/roads aren't bad, I just dress for the weather and go out and enjoy! Feel free to friend me if you'd like!

Awesome! You look fantastic! and I love Closet Shopping- Can't beat free, and nothing feels better than fitting into pants/dress that you wore over 5 years ago (that's in my case)!
-
You look awesome!! Keep up the great work!

I agree- take measurements - I've seen the biggest results there.... I know each person is different, but I eat back my excericse calories, and the weight has been coming off. I've also had crazy results (down weight) when I've eaten over a couple of days.... I think it throws your body off a little bit. Don't give up on…

Wow, what great determination and progress you're making! Keep up the awesome work.

I'd say get new shoes (unless you are making a switch from regular runners to the barefoot runners).... Chances are the padding is also gone too, and it might hurt worse.... I just switched new shoes on Monday and I ran 10 miles this morning, and I did great.... However, if your ankle is still gving your problems - they…

That is awesome!

Yes - I was torn up yesterday and ran one of my fastest times on a 5 miler... Use the energy for good and use it to train... I think we all need to wallow a bit, especially after a heartbreak. If you need a few minutes down time, take it, but try not to let it steal your days and your energy.... You are worth more than…

that's fantastic!!

I love this- fantastic!!!

I think there's a lot of factors in here that would impact me- is this a good friend, or is it just a friend? How long have you been friends? Is this the first time, and an honest mistake, or is this something that happens frequently? Is this something that's going to impact your family? Is this something fixable? Is this…

Is there a gym in the hotel where you will be staying? If so, just working out a little in the morning before you start your day will help.... Resist the urge to have the cookies and sodas, there should be pitchers of water on the table (especially if you are in all day meetings), and generally there are lots of fruits....…

Agreed... but here's my two cents - one I have three dogs, and I manage. I even have a backup roll now just to be on the extra safe side Also, yesterday I saw a gentleman in a motorized wheelchair who managed to pick up the poo, so really, for the life of me, I can't see the reason why someone would not be able to manage…

Congratulations!!!

I enjoyed two pieces of pizza, a greek salad and a beer after mine, and I did not feel guilty.... If you are looking for a personal reward- I'd say a new pair of running shoes - if you've been eyeing them, a massage, a chiropractic adjustment (think I'm going to go in for one).....

Yum!!

So, for me I've been running about 3 miles a day for the past few years,.... This year, I decided to toss in a couple of 5 miles, and then 7 miles to see where I land (I also did swimming and biking)... The biggest thing that I've read, is that you want to increase your mileage by no more than 10% per week...and make sure…

Welcome aboard. I'm a 3 month veteran of this site now, and I have to say that it is pretty easy to log. Most foods are on here, and it's really easy (and addicting) to log. If you're like most of us, your first week will be an eye opener, but then you should fall into a rhythm...forgive yourself if you slip up here and…

You can do this! And word to the wise, during our first week we've all said, holy cow- I ate that many calories??? After awhile, your choices will start becoming second nature, but the first week(s) can be challenging. Also, know that we all slip at times, but what is important is that you forgive yourself and keep going.…

Good luck to you! I'm from NH and am running my first half marathon this weekend. Feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like.

What an awesome place to chose to live healthy- all the lovely trails, the nice roads, and the lakes... Yep, I LOVE Colorado! I lived there for 4 years.... Feel free to add me if you like- I'm currently training for a half marathon (never thought I'd want to at my high weight), and have lost 20 of a total of 47 punds…

That is really awesome! That had to feel great! Congratulations to you for your hard work and dedication!

What a fantastic job!!!

Hi. Feel free to add me as well.... My friends and I all went through the "sticker shock" phase like you did. It is really surprising how many calories everything has. The great thing is with this, you can still eat your favorite foods, you just have to plan to do it, or eat them in smaller quantities. I joined back in…
