Have you been checked for hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)? A lot of our patients here at the hospital have the same issue. Crash after eating a lot of carbs and get hungry again quickly. So many people are concerned about high blood-sugar they don't realize the other end of the spectrum is just as bad.

Great progress, Emmie. Yeah about the age of 12 is when I started to get big and it was about 30 years of struggle. You are ahead of the game and doing great.

I agree with what pretty much everyone is saying. I went from 336 to my maintenance weight of 170. My trainer and doctor actually agree that I'm doing great and to just tone up and not lose any more. I met my friend HansTied last week for lunch and it was great. He is always supportive to all of his MFP friends and really nice in person, too. Met my fiance (Timeforachange2011) here as well. Am moving states to be with her and we are thinking of a December wedding. Sweet. Gotta love MFP.

Considering my history of obesity, 45 is my healthiest year yet, so yes. lol They keep talking about mid-life crisis and stuff but with the average male life-span, 35 is more mid-life. So have a blast. I enjoy outdoing all the "YOUNG" people at work and on the trails, gym, etc.

Hey everybody. Maintained at 171 pounds. Toning and strength training are working even though weight has stayed constant. I replaced all of my jeans, pants, shorts, etc. this week with 34 inch waist. At the beginning when I weighed 336 pounds it would be around 100 or more just sitting on my butt, watching tv. Now it is usually around 50.

Unfortunately on their Smith machine. In a few months I am moving to OHIO and I am going to buy my own squat rack, bench, free weights, etc. when I get there. Don't want to buy more stuff now and have to move it. Until then I am just making do.
