Insanity is pretty insane but it's the first routine I've done that I feel made the biggest difference in my mid section.

I'm in the 2nd week of the 2nd month! It's definitely insane, but I love it. It's the first workout I've done to really see results. I still have a while to go but it's been worth it!

The formula in the guide starts at 1500 cals. So I agree on not enough cals to fuel your body the whole day.

Nope, not one thing! Ever! When your belly is gone, you'll learn you have a lap to put that plate on!

I laughed so hard at your post, mainly because it sounds like me! However, my upper tire is what I'm most concerned with right now! It's shrinking but I can't wait for the day that it stops looking like I'm walking around with an inner tube around my waist instead of just your average muffin top!

I was down to 184, but gained over the summer and now keeping steady around the mid 190's. My goal for now is around 155-160 but considering I'm smaller now than I ever remember being, I have no idea what 160 will look like, so that might be adjusted when I get there.

I think my biggest advice would just be to stick with it and don't give up! Even if you feel you failed a day or even a week with eating wrong or not working out, just pick it back up. It should be about a lifestyle change you can deal with and not just a diet. Do you track more than just calories? I would watch fats,…

Love this thread and I agree with them all! All you youngins think you're the s**t with all your underage drinking and drug use. What in the world will you post about when you grow up and realize how lame and uncool you really are?

I agree with Aldi. Their fit & active brand stuff is great. I haven't bought anything there and been disappointed. I don't know if they're all the same, but our Aldi's produce dept isn't the best. It's usually stuff that needs used quickly before it goes bad, but if you're eating fruits and veggies daily, that isn't much…

I started the 2nd month this week. I actually gained a lb during the first month and my inches went nowhere. I do, however, notice a difference in tone and definitely in endurance. I've been told by a few people that the 2nd month is when you start to notice a change. So I guess we'll see...

This sounds like my house, except we're 32 and 34 with 2 kids.... After almost 13yrs of marriage, I've just learned to tolerate him cause things will never change...

Sometimes just doing the real deal instead of the turkey substitutes, are lower in sodium. They add salt to add to the blander flavor. I buy center cut bacon, which is a leaner cut and I think tastes a lot better than turkey bacon. I used to use ground turkey in all my recipes that called for hamburger, until I learned…

You mean there's people that don't really like donuts?!!!! haha I agree that stating it differently, that you really never cared for donuts, might have went over better. I'm not sure I'm quite "one of those ex fatties" however Monday morning's school breakfast was a pb&j uncrustable with a processed packaged pie thing as a…

Virginia Ham or Mesquite Turkey

You didn't mention many processed foods so I'm gonna assume you know the sodium content in that. Sounds to me like your biggest problem is with seasoning your chicken and fish. I love the Mrs. Dash seasonings for meat. My favorite is garlic herb. Wish I could figure out the trick to using my own separate seasonings to…

I watch sodium as well, due to blood pressure issues. I have found that at most fast food places, it's lower in sodium to do a kids meal or their smaller burgers than to eat their salads. We don't have a lot of different fast food places in my smaller town, but my go-to-meal from Mcdonald's is either the 4pc chicken…

I agree with the posts that it's probably mostly water. Most people will lose faster in the beginning while the body adjusts to the better choices and less sodium filled, processed foods. Once adjusted and you begin losing actual fat, that loss will slow down.

I'm in week 2 this week. I find it tough but I have learned to love pushing myself!

I'm not sure that I consider myself having lose skin as much as I feel like I still have a lot of stomach fat. I'm around a size 14 now, from a 24, but still carry an apron belly like I had at almost 300lbs, just a little smaller, and a noticeable roll from around the love handle area, that goes all the way around the…

I was a smoker years ago. Quit cause I was tired of the extra steps to combat the smell from my husband who HATED it! Even after not having one for years I still had the craving occasionally, but when I'd give in and bum one off family or friends, I'd hate everything about it, but would still get a craving later. Somehow…

Their hard shells are lower in sodium and if I'm not mistaken also lower on carbs.

Just finishing my coffee this morning. Almost lunch time and I haven't eaten anything yet. Maybe you should worry more about the carb and sugar content in that banana? (yes, I joke, I did see the previous post)

I have mostly bought from thrift stores to save some money during my weight loss, since I have a whole new wardrobe! So if I find something really nice or like name brand jeans, still with tags, but they're a size too small, shoot yeah I own them! lol Sometimes you get in them before you think you can. Most of the time I…

I have a scale at home that's supposed to measure body fat, I don't completely trust it, however it tells me I'm around 41%. The online calculators that I've found that go by some measurements also say around that percentage. We have about the same chest size, but I weigh about 20lbs more and there's no way in hell I could…

I agree on Miralax. A doctor actually gave me a rx for the same stuff as Miralax, but in a powder form to add to drinks. I had tons of problems in the beginning, I'm assuming my body adjusting, but its gotten better the past couple months. Drink plenty of water and fats will also help. I think of it as greasing up the…

Sounded good until I looked at the picture. Doesn't look very appetizing, but you should try everything once. Will probably most definitely need an antacid lol

I'm a stay-at-home-mom too. My boys are (almost) 10 and 5. I've managed my loss by just working out at home, no gym memberships. I understand about the kitchen thing! I do really well on my snacking until the kids decide they need something in the evening and then I end up having something I shouldn't with them! lol Can't…

Stroke level BP which put me in the ER, w/o insurance, a bill that sure wasn't pretty, that I'm still working on paying off almost a year later. The thought of having a stroke at 31yrs of age was pretty much my wake up call. With 2 young children, the last thing my husband needs to worry about is caring for me in the…

I started out just walking and still enjoy a nice stroll in the fresh air, alone to clear my head. I also did the c25k program and love to run. I started the final week today. It's amazing what your body can be trained to do! I use a boring treadmill though haha

I drive a dark gray 2003 Taurus SEL, loaded with leather. Just purchased this year. Nicest and most dependable car I have ever owned. I guess in comparison it's been wrecked and put back to new condition 3 times before my ownership. I guess you could say over the years we've both been in a work in progress. Although it has…
