  • Skipped my run today. Its that T.O.M and just needed to take a nap. I am excited about running though again so I think tomorrow will be a good run!
  • I LOVE running in the rain! I seriously run so much better!
  • Completed my longest distance yet...8 miles and when I finished I asked if it really was 8 miles since it felt easy! Haha. I love running with Team in Training-such good motivators and we played some games while running which was fun and distracting! I had taken 4 days off and I think that helped tremendously!! Also I have…
  • Thats great!! Wish you the best of luck! You could try to train with a local running group. Runners World also has great message boards too. Use those to your advantage!
  • Got 5 miles into today...all while it was raining but I love running in that so it was good! I had taken 4 days off so I was a little sluggish but ran the entire thing which is what I wanted to do. I didnt feel that "quitting" feeling like last week. That little stubborn voice pushing me on is back :) Now just have to…

  • At a Team in Training info session, they said if you are going to use Gatorade to stick to the powder. They are now making the gatorade in the bottles more for the average person than for the athlete. I think there was mention of less sugar in the powder mix. I am at that point where I am going to be passing 7 miles and…
  • Jess-you are truly an inspiration!! You rock!! I "suffered" through a 6 mile run/walk today. I had to go to a bridal shower at a park so I decided to use mapmyrun.com and found one that left from the park. It was seriously hilly hell for me! I cant believe someone could actually run this!! I am thinking of taking a couple…
  • Heading out for a 5 mile run tonight at my favorite spot-the local nature center!
  • Got 4.5 miles done today. So grateful for the two girls who stuck with me to the end.
  • Ran/Walked 3 miles today I felt like a newbie. I bonked so bad. I actually was growling and cursing at myself while walking. I think this is the worst run I've had. Ugh!
  • Kelynn--congrats on the 5K-you will do great!! Today was a rest day. Ive been focusing on fundraising all day-trying to drum up some fun activities to do and how to bring some money in. If anyone has any good ideas I'd love to hear them!
  • So proud of your decision!! This dedication is why you are where you at!! Keep it up! Such an inspiration!
  • Shuntae--I am grinning from ear to ear and shaking my head in agreement. Isnt it amazing--that confident calm feeling that you will be able to run those miles?? I love it! I am so proud of you!! Jenny--I agree that you should use the group to your advantage. If you want to improve time then go for it. Theres no reason…
  • I got my seven miler done and I survived! I felt the usual annoying feeling mile 2 to 3 but then felt great at mile 5-6 and then the last one I was just looking for the damn finishing place! Beautiful scenery and wonderful weather also made it enjoyable! Hope everyone has a good weekend!
  • Fita-thats what I did too when I couldnt get it done in the morning. Its surprising how well the kiddos adjust and deal with it once they do it a couple of times Todays a rest day but not really because my brain will be spinning all day questioning if I can run 7 miles tomorrow! LOL
  • My shoulders--I can feel the muscles in them and can see that my arms are skinner!
  • Kechie-hope you enjoy the shoes! :) I got in 3.2 miles today on the high school track before the kids asked me to stop. I was supposed to run five but happy with how much I got in! The kids are getting used to playing on/near the track so its getting easier!
  • Congrats to the C25K graduates! Today was a rest day but I took the kids to the local arts festival today that had tons of kids activities. I think I probably walked a good 2-3 miles so I'll count that as cross training! hehe!
  • Maz---Signing up for a 5K was the best decision I ever made. I now have a 10K under my belt and will be doing a half in September. I think you totally should sign up for it!! Good luck I did a 5 miler tonight. Its strange because it is not strenous but it still is hard. I am though trying to go a little faster to gain…
  • You look great! Thanks for sharing-such an inspiration!
  • I dont see why not....but I eat happy meals afterwards since it has chocolate milk!!
  • Got two miles into today at the local high school track while the kids circled it with their bikes! It was so cute!
  • Hope you feel better!! Just take a walk tomorrow!
  • I raced a 10Ker today! Great experience! So great to see everyone else running races too!
  • I dont know if everyone reads all the rests of the posts so this is a repeat! I have only run a 5K but have signed up for Team in Training (1/2 marathon) in September. I wanted to run a 10K and found one back in my hometown. My cousin is also new to running and signed up for the 5K part of the race. She lived about 5…
