How should I make my running schedule? Been out of whack!
I was supposed to run 9 miles this saturday but did not make it out with my group of friends. I am training for a half marathon on Oct 16th. I only ran last saturday and this wednesday. I was thinking maybe 5 today or should I really attempt the 9? Should I go as far as I can and then just walk the rest to equal nine??…

Runners--Got some gear tonight!!
I am so excited that I finally got a water belt! I had been eyeing it up and decided I really needed if for safety purposes as I was just running with my keys. Then I also got a running outfit so I will look all cool and a real runner! Cant wait to try it out tomorrow. Do you have any cool accessories??

So I did what any hardcore runner faced with 35-50mph winds
would do, I JOINED A GYM!!!! LOL:laugh: :drinker: I just didnt feel safe. We had wind advisories all week and its really just the start of winter. This is my final "long" run before my 1/2 marathon on Sept 20th. I am super excited for the race and hopefully will do well tomorrow. I did 10 miles wonderfully but the 11 was rough with some knee issues! Good luck to anyone else doing a long run or racing this weekend!!

I signed up for TEAM IN TRAINING today!!
It has been a goal of mine for about 2 years but I kept putting it off. Then I signed up for an info session in April and was told 2 weeks later that my cousing had Acute Leukemia. So I will be running a 1/2 marathon in Philadelphia in September!! I hope it goes well(training and fundraising) :)

I've upped my mileage---5.5 Miles!!
I recently completed a 5K and knew that I had it in me to run more but mentally was nervous. I completed 4 miles last weekend and today I finished 5.5. It was so exciting! I actually felt great after mile 3!! Cant wait to keep upping my mileage to see how far I can go!! :)

Heart Rate while running?
I really pay attention to my HRM while I am running. At a slow pace I usually stay in the 150s. I have been pushing myself and running harder. Tonight during my 5K I got up into the low 170s. I get nervous just looking at that number and it psyches me out! Just curious what others HR range is and where I should be? Thanks!

I am estatic. I have been walking/running for 5 months and today I finally reached my goal!!! I have had so many mental blocks, didnt think I could ever do this. It was the best feeling in the world. If you are working toward a goal, keep going-keep pushing! It will happen!!

I bought shoes a 1/2 size larger...opinions??
I got shoes in January that were 9.5 and I also bought gel insoles. Lately the shoes have just been feeling restrictive--especially at the tops of my feet so tonight I decided to buy size 10. Do you think thats ok?? I am running about 1.5 miles 3x a week usually. Thanks!
