  • Vote Ms. Conda-scending off please!!
  • Love it! Just be aware that it is NOT a heart rate monitor. Also, for some activities where you are not moving by foot (biking, rowing machine, etc.) it will not track your distance. Not a big deal though because you can manually log your activity in their app. It's a nice way to keep track of your steps, how many flights…
  • Way to go!!
  • I push my toddler around the block in the stroller. I also watch PBS morning cartoons with her - she sits and watches Clifford, The Big Red Dog, and I put in my time on our rowing machine.
  • I have the fitbit and a Polar HRM. I have found the estimated calories of the FitBit are very close for my height/weight. My fitbit also calculates just a tad under what my HRM says...which is just fine with me because I'd rather my journal of activity and calories err on the side of caution. HTH!
  • No, I wash it by hand and it dries quickly on its own.
  • I tend to have a very predictable/repetitious breakfast and lunch plus one afternoon snack that equals about 700 calories (total) and then I have another 700 calories to "spend" on dinner. I guess because those are rather repetitious, you could say they are planned. Really it's just habit and lack of variety, because I…
  • Not to beat a dead horse, lol...but yes on lower carb. Like so many, I also have PCOS. But I can't totally give up most carbs. Not gonna happen! But I do try to eater lower-carb, and make sure that I get protein in with the carbs. I've been able to follow many of the principles of the "Insulin Resistance Diet" plan…
  • Yep - what she said. :) You would manually entire your info for cycling. I do a rowing machine for my exercise and manually enter it. It is not a device that will register your activity when you are staying in one place. I have a Polar HRM that I have compared the FitBit estimation for my time on the rowing machine, and…
  • Have it. Use it. Absolutely LOVE it. I'm currently syncing my FitBit Ultra to another food logging database via my iphone (it has a bar code scanner to log my food, but I think their food database is not as expansive as MFP). I'm eagerly waiting for MFP to release their app and make it possible to sync my FitBit account…
  • I do and have been having good success with pairing it with a 1200 calorie per day diet and 20 minutes exercise on our rowing machine. The rowing machine has been a great nearly all-body workout for me. I also wear a Polar Heart Rate monitor with a chest strap (RS100) all day (not just when exercising) that helps me get up…
