Do you set your phone screen to not time out?
-
this may be plan B... the good old fashioned way ;-) thank you for the tip!
-
I had looked into this one too. Do you have any problems with it keeping count when the screen is off? That seemed to be a common complaint. What phone do you use it on?
-
And you should be proud of your accomplishment indeed! Great job!!!! You are an inspiration, and I like your view on it. Thanks :))

Thank you Hazel for making me laugh!

Yep, it does! Divorced, twice :blushing: First ex-hubby & I celebrate our un-anniversary every year. It's usually a text these days. But we both celebrate the fact we are better off not married to each other. Warped, eh? We separated in 1996, and the divorce was final 1998. Granted the first few years were no cakewalk. But…

I concur! Mara's solution is grand! Meanwhile, I am not here to meet a boyfriend, either. We are in a "singles group" though... so that little inkling of being self-conscience popped into my head. That being said, I have met many a wonderful, non-judgmental folk here, male & female, so decided to stick with the ticker I…

My goodness that had some snarl in it, sabertooth ;-) Either ticker variety is accurate... one just tells the world what I weigh (the ticker I have used since joining) and one represents the pounds lost or pounds to go. It's a social taboo along the lines of not asking a woman her age if she looks over forty. (your guess…

Thank for the tip! As most of my exercise is indoors, I found a pedometer app for my phone to give a try. Best on your December goal!
-
I desperately need motivation to move my *kitten*! Can I still join??? New at this, but heard 10,000 steps a day good for health, so that is what I want to work up to this month. Shooting for 40 miles in December. Will be walking, using mini elliptical, step, and Wii. Any recommendations for a good pedometer or other…

love my Wii Fit Plus & mini elliptical too... great idea for mini trampoline! also use jump rope, hand weights, twist board with resistance bands, and good ol' fashioned calisthenics
-
Ah, there is hope yet... for both :D Thank you, friend!

Good point! I should have mentioned I was not starving initially. I am still getting the hang of all this and still have 53lbs to go. This was more of a doh! personal revelation that I thought others may be able to relate with, not meant to be preachy... hope I did not offend anyone. Thank you for insight & best on your…

What a great idea!!! At this time, I need to see that scale move (still have lots of pounds to drop). BUT, in the future, hope to join your challenge, or one like it. Way to be creatively encouraging!!

What a lovely transformation! Congrats on 93 lbs down!! You are an inspiration and thank you for sharing :)

Yep. Reading a health magazine article about phone apps for weight loss, did not even know there was such a thing and found MFP for my phone... then realized how much more MFP offers  Last check-up with my doctor, she wanted to know how the weight was coming off and took notes on MFP, so hopefully she will pass…

Too much fun with with family and friends is going to be my caloric curse it seems. Started back today with morning exercises and hoping it helps keep the pounds away... at least so I do not gain back any more. Love your stair-strategy!
