If your town has a chamber of commerce, hook up with them. They usually sponsor "meet ups" or networking events. It's a great way to meet new people right in your area and they even have events to teach you how to network with people. I really love bread (doesn't everyone), but I've done lunch or a quick dinner like you did today and skipped the bun and found that it wasn't all the big of a deal. Another thing that I switched was using sandwich thins instead of sliced bread.

I'm 5'4, shooting for 145-150, from there 130's. Down about 7 lbs now, but hoping that my progress of about 2 lbs a week is a sign that I'm doing it right this time!

This is just my two cents, but I don't see anything wrong with saving calories on occasion. Just don't make it a habit. Your body needs "fuel" throughout the day to keep going. Make sure you drink a lot of water to stay hydrated and whatever you eat prior to your event should probably be high in protein and/or a healthy…

Dehydrate it and make chips for snacks or stuff it with ground turkey, tomatoes, corn, (any combination you would enjoy) and throw it in the oven.
