  • Well, I dunno if what I do will work for you but I find I like something more substantial than just fruits or veggies. Maybe this will help? In the morning I make an egg-white patty and a slice or two of (real) bacon. I have that to eat between breakfast and lunch. They say protein and fat is what fills you up longer. The…
  • I have the app and feel free to add me as a friend if you want someone checking in to make sure you're on target. I have a great group of girls in my list and I find them to be wonderfully helpful- moreso than I thought I could have gotten from Internet friends!
  • I wish I had something profound to write, something that would make it click with you and make you feel better. I don't think I do. What I can say though is that you've come a long way. You've lost over 100 pounds and then some and are under the 200 bench mark. That must have taken an incredible amount of hard work. I am…
  • I think that's a GREAT goal! 10 is just the right number for me to lose real fat-pounds and keep them off forever. It's a healthy, sensible goal and lord knows I'd love to see double digits loss! As of now, you got 6 pages of people, including me, that are in with ya! Great motivational post! PS: Congrats on the crazy cool…
  • That is SO funny you say that! I was just talking to one of my other MFP friends today and I said I've lost about 5 pounds so far and I don't notice anything. I know it's silly to expect to see a difference with only 5 pounds but I was secretly hoping to even see just a little-less chubby face. Disappointment aside, I'm…
  • Hey Sparkle! I posted a similar topic under this thread called "Sabotaging Myself" cause lord knows I fall off the wagon atleast one day a week and then punish myself for it by eating more crap! A lot of wonderful people responded so feel free to check it out or friend me. But long story short, this is the conclusion I've…
  • WoW. First off- that's AMAZING. Not only have you lost double digits, but you've lost 1/4 of 100 pounds (now THAT sounds impressive if you word it that way. LOL). Anywho, I am sorry that you're not getting more praise or people noticing. I don't know if it's that no one is actually noticing- maybe they feel weird asking…
  • For all of you WONDERFUL people that have replied, I don't know if you'll ever visit this thread again to read my post here, but I want to thank you all SOOO much. I wish I could click "like" on each one of your posts. When I need to, I go back and read all of your supportive comments and suggestions. Thanks for taking the…
  • Never heard of that! Sounds yummy as all heck! Where do you find that!?
  • I LOVE my breakfast and this is what I posted for another person. This is what I do for 285-300 calories. Now I do suggest egg whites, but you can sub that for more cereal, a piece of fruit, another slice of bacon, slice of toast with jam...quite a few things for those 50 calories!…
  • You're right. I say that all the time- about the celebrities being paid to lose weight. "Well if they gave me 4 million, I could do it too". Now I also complain about the endless resources and babysitters that they have, but that's not everything. While I can't find time right now to exercise, both myself - and the…
  • Thank you to you and the responder right before you. Not that I don't appreciate the other comments, I do, but we all had issues that either lead to the weight gain or the inability to lose it easily. That's why we're here. To say that my issues are psychological but yours (or whom evers) are not, seems a bit, well wrong.…
  • People give ya' a hard time if you're fat, give ya' a hard time if you're skinny. Sometimes you just can't win in this world because people want to find every reason to make themselves feel better by putting others down. It's not cause you worked hard to lose the weight - it must be for something else that they can flaw…
  • Nothing wrong with protein shakes. I used to do Isopure from GNC. But there's too many calories, esp if you add milk, so I'd rather get my protein straight from the source and with fewer calories so now I eat fish/chicken instead.
  • To leave room for a snack or two in the afternoon / evening is my guess. If they're on a 1200 calorie diet like me, 300's the max though I eat a million small meals a day instead of three. Just a friendly guess.
  • Here's some ideas. First, keep in mind they say protein helps keep you the MOST full. But I like variety and want it ALL! Lol. 90 calories - cup skim milk 110 calories - 3/4 cup Honey Nut Cheerios (or whatever cereal, many of which are less) 50 calories- two servings of egg whites which, if cooked in the microwave, fluff…
  • This doesn't directly answer your question, but I do find it to be helpful. I found this link which kind of helps you vary up your meals and still have low calories. It didn't let me plug in the calories I WANTED to have, but their suggestions keep it low regardless. Just something fun if you wanted to check it out. Jenn…
  • Perhaps less weight (if you're carrying dumbbells), more reps? Otherwise, check your form. Just a thought.
  • WoW! So jealous of you and yet happy for you at the same time!!! Thanks for the thin-spiration! :)
  • Sorry but only because you asked- nay. A BIG BIG BIG nay.
  • I was searching the forums because I'm having the same problem too! I cut out all the sweets in my diet and every day I'm already WAY over my grams of sugar by lunch (based on my 1200 calorie diet). Hell, I even cut out the bread I was having at lunch to see if this made a difference and it didn't. Now I'm not sure what to…
