I've been doing the Linday Brin dvds from Target...it was $14.99 for 4 dvds, 1 for each trimester and 1 for after baby (a bootcamp dvd). She's super cheerful, which depending on the day can be annoying (haha!), but it's been a good dvd for me and my energy level at the moment!

I'm Emily :) 27, married, live in Knoxville TN, have a german shepherd puppy, and am currently pregnant! I could definitely use a dose of positivity, so I'm glad you formed this group Sarah!!!

I was in a similar situation this year - started MFP last July at 239, lost down to around 200 by October, and then struggled from there on out. I wanted to be 150 prior to TTC, but also didn't want to put my family on hold. I did my best, but my husband and I decided to TTC in May even though I still weighed around 200…

If I were you, I would increase slowly...100 calories a week for a month so then you're at 1600. See how you feel at 1600 and go from there...but, I think 1200 isn't enough for you! At least try to get your BMR :)
-
It depends on how much you weigh - I'm 205 and eat 2400. I burn 200-600 through exercise and 2400 works well for me in the first trimester. I'm with chicky - 1650 maybe?
-
Dang! That would have been a busy feb! Glad your little one will have its own month :)
-
Not horrible at all :). The thought crossed my mind as well!
-
Decaf! :)

I think 1800 sounds great - I'm eating at least 2400 (my maintenance) and feel a bit heavier as well, but I know it's what baby needs! Your body is likely adjusting to the higher calories :)

Ours was planned too :)

That's my birthday :) And my husband's is the 10th...so if our baby is due on time, we'll have the 10th, 15th, and 22nd...expensive January at our house hahaha

ditto what yanicka said - it's natural for weight loss to stall for short periods of time, but what you are describing is not a plateau at this point.

Thanks for the input! I would say about half of mine come from natural sugars like fruit or come from my 1% milk, and the other half are added sugars in the foods I eat. The second half is the kind I'm more worried about :)

I ran on a broken foot for two years before I saw a doctor - I had pain, but "pushed through" and all that got me was surgery in the end. Now I cannot wear heels at all due to pain, even after the surgery. I *wish* I could go back to my 20 year old self and say GO TO THE DOCTOR! So, even if the doctor tells you it's shin…

I used to drink 1-2 cans of diet coke a day. I gave it up in march when I knew my husband and I wanted to TTC and I didn't need the caffeine while pregnant. Most people who try diet sodas after giving them up say they are gross when they try them again - not the case for me, haha, as when I have had a few sips they were…

Online calculators say Jan 22nd for me - but my first doctor's appointment is June 7th, so I'll know more then!

4 heads or tails double stuffed oreos with a cup of 1% milk...what? that's not okay? hahaha - at least I'm HONEST :)

No PCOS here, but I joined MFP last July in order to get to a healthy weight prior to TTC. I'm currently pregnant and I'm not sure if that would have happened without losing the weight. Now I am doing my best to keep up those healthy habits during this pregnancy. Prayers for everyone here who is trying to get healthier to…

pcedano - I'm glad you had a good first appt, but I'm sorry about your difficulties having blood drawn :( I often have issues as well, so hopefully you are successful when you go back! blink - I'm sorry you aren't feeling well and hope it doesn't last as long as last time! Hopefully your son will understand it isn't a bad…

vonalj - I hope your job is going well and you are adjusting well!! That's a big change :) Sounds like you had a great doctor's appointment and everything is going well...25lbs is my goal as well, so we'll see how that goes. I set "goal weights" for the end of each trimester to try to keep myself on track. We will see how…

YAYYYY calories!!!! :) I <3 food, seriously...
-
jaime - I was wondering the same thing on the HR. when I met with my doctor before we started TTC, she didn't say anything about my HR, but I'm curious now. in zumba mine still gets into the 170s so I may need to call and ask about that

Desk job here :) What I've found is that having low calorie snacks just makes me want to keep eating...so, I eat at least 300 calorie snacks which are full of protein and that helps keep the hungries away. Afternoon is worst for me, so I do have something sweet then (just now I had chocolate covered almonds)

I've been saving up vacation and sick leave for a few years so I would have enough to take off when I got pregnant - so, as long as my supervisor agrees, I'll be taking off 12 weeks of paid leave. fingers crossed she is agreeable, though! I work for the government, so I'm entitled to at least 6 (if it's a normal birth) or…

I *thought* I was sedentary because I have a desk job...and then I got a body media fit which shows I burn an average of 2,900 calories per day. Not as sedentary as I thought...so, you may be in the same boat as me where you are underestimating how active you are.
-
I'm struggling with this too - I'm still doing zumba and have to remind myself to keep one foot on the floor at all times. I shouldn't do the jumps and higher impact stuff, so I just have to remind myself to modify. The other ladies here gave great advice - just take it down a notch from what you were doing, but you should…

this is part of my morning snack every day! yummmm

chocolate covered almonds and sour brite crawlers....what? I'm still in the first trimester :) I don't eat them often, but I want them always!!
-
mine was open for the first 8 months I was on MFP - then I got a few negative (read: not constructive, but just plain mean) comments about my diary and got really embarrassed about it. I'm already in counseling for food issues, so feeling ashamed of my food choices didn't make it any better. I closed my diary and may feel…

I'm glad I'm not the only person who thinks like this...I know I'm still early and I have plenty of time for morning sickness to start, but part of me feels like I SHOULD feel more pregnant at this point. I'm sure I"ll change my tune if I do actually start feeling sick!
