  • I have a 2 week old and the one thing we ran out to buy more of was Aden & anais swaddle blankets. They are a little more expensive, but soooo easy to swaddle with and baby seems to like them! Also, the onesies with long sleeves and the mitten things at the ends - Camden will pull off any mitten and scratch his face to…
  • My OB credits my continued workouts during pregnancy to a wonderful 6 hour labor as a FTM last week - stay active because it really does help! I did Zumba/maternity DVDs through the first and second trimesters, then switched to the elliptical in the third due to hip pain. I also swam 2000-3000 yards a few times a week -…
  • I had one last week with my son. To be honest, contractions hurt a hell of a lot worse than the needle :). I don't even remember the needle, but I do remember relief and being much calmer. My labor progressed quickly once my pain went away! I would do it again in a heartbeat.
  • My placenta is anterior and I felt my baby kick for the first time in week 20. My husband couldn't feel him/her until week 24. Our baby has more than made up for that slow start, haha, as he/she kicks constantly now! Hopefully you will feel it soon!
  • Welcome!!! Glad you joined the group and congrats on your pregnancy :) I'm at the end of my pregnancy (39 weeks), but feel free to add me if you'd like :)
  • 40lbs at 39 weeks - and I'm done weighing!
  • Mine has definitely helped my pelvic pain - I bought it from my physical therapist, but it looks like walmart has it for $31-35. Here's a link - hope this helps! http://www.walmart.com/ip/21476598?adid=22222222227015462052&wmlspartner=wlpa&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=&wl3=17451009070&wl4=&wl5=pla&veh=sem
  • I cut out diet coke for about 8 months (I'm pregnant) and recently started to have one on occasion. I've noticed that after I drink one (caffeine free), I get a pounding headache...but it doesn't happen with a regular coke.
  • tie my gym shoes - WAY harder than my actual workout :)
  • Ditto - I'm 38 weeks pregnant and certainly don't have the energy to work out - I have some rough hip pain and other assorted lady part pains. But, I won't let myself use it as an excuse because I know no matter how badly I feel before the gym, I'll feel a million times better afterwards. I always promise myself "just 10…
  • I gained about 20lbs by the 20 week mark - I'm 37 weeks now and up around 40. Congrats on nearly being halfway!!
  • cocolo - I'm right there with you!! I'm 37 weeks and it seems to be coming on more quickly now - up 40 on my doctor's scale today...we are almost there, though!
  • I think the freezer meal thing is an awesome idea!!! It would be so helpful to y'all and wouldn't require anyone to feel the need to spend a bunch of money :)
  • Held steady this week because I'm nearly out of room :). 38lbs at 36.5 weeks!
  • My mom wasn't able to breastfeed me - she didn't even try with my older sisters and then by the time she wanted to with me, her milk never came in. And guess what? I'm healthy, intelligent, and am a functional member of society :) I'm sorry you've gotten so much judgment - breastfeeding is something many women feel very…
  • 38lbs at 35 weeks...there goes my 40lb goal (okay, let's be honest, ORIGINAL goal was 25, then it changed to 35, then 40...so now, 45?? haha)
  • Jamie - you're so close! ahhhhhhh can't wait to see pics of your lil guy! mellynat - I vacuumed baseboards last weekend and think that officially puts me in the insane category...I just couldn't handle thinking about dust on my baseboards! I'm sorry your doctor is so frustrating :( I probably wouldn't say anything either…
  • How fit are you to begin with? If you do decide to join the program, what's the policy on injuries? Would you get a refund for the months you weren't able to do it in the event you got hurt? I ask because it's a lot of $$ to spend and I would want to be sure I could get the unused months back if I couldn't complete the…
  • I used a BMF until I got pregnant, and then I couldn't get a straight answer on if it was safe to use during pregnancy, so I stopped wearing it. I miss it! I think if the Fitbit isn't working for you, you should give the BMF a try!
  • Ditto what Rachel said - I had an abnormal pap years ago, colposcopy to follow, and HPV was the culprit. My very next pap was normal again and I've never had an issue from any of it. They can see areas that look abnormal and that's where they biopsy - but, if he's not going to biopsy, he probably just wants to see how many…
  • 36lbs at 33 weeks...jumped up quite a bit this week. I'm over weight gain at this point...blehhhhhhhh Kiley - thank you for the encouragement!!
  • I would order it around 6 months before your wedding and get it in the size you are at that time. I had many plans to lose weight before my wedding and with all the stress I ended up gaining - you don't want the added pressure of having to fit in a dress a few sizes too small! Congratulations and enjoy the next 10-11…
  • spend the $$ on a photographer and videographer - I saw many things I missed on that wonderful day because they captured it all! if you don't hire a wedding planner, at least get a "month-of" coordinator - they'll go to your appointments with you (or for you), fix any fires (there will be fires), and take care of things…
  • Once I'm cleared, I'll just start with walking and likely some pregnancy DVDs which include handweights for about a month. After my body has adjusted to that, I'll add back in weights/zumba/etc. I'd like to do a P90X/Insanity hybrid when I feel up to it, but hopefully by 6 months! Going to take it easy on the timeline so I…
  • Woohooo! 57 more days for me (but who is counting, right?) - very exciting about your shower :) Are you expecting a lot of people? It's great because you'll still have plenty of time to purchase any items you didn't get that you will need! have fun :)
  • I just wear my normal workout pants below my belly and wear a shirt that's oversized so it's long enough to cover my belly!
  • blink - you just wore me out reading all that you've been up to!! and I thought I was nesting! haha...that's awesome you're down to the wire and have everything in order. sounds like you have a good plan for taking care of your baby girl the first few weeks. not too much longer now! pregosaurus - in all honesty, I think…
  • I have my spoon in a jar of crunchy peanut butter right now - not so sure that counts as healthy, but it helps curb my hunger a bit :) Who says you have to spread it ON something other than a spoon??
  • 33lbs at 32 weeks!
  • I get it because I'm a comparer (I swam in college and all of my former teammates still look amazing, whereas I put on all this weight...the comparisons make me feel badly that I'm not like them, which drives emotional eating and keeps the cycle going). That may NOT be the case with your sister, but it could be a factor…
