Congratulations and thanks for sharing!

So my quote didn't work, but it's the salted caramel Talenti I love. And opera. I can cry like a baby listening to Renee Fleming.

OMGosh! I love that stuff! They make it in a dark chocolate-covered pop, too.

Way to go! Inspiring!!

I just saw the Flex at Costco today for $100. I have the force but am allergic to the nickel in the casing so I can't wear it any longer. I just put it in my pocket instead - I am looking for a retro-fit solution since it was working so well for me. I used to have the One (about 1 year) but I forgot to wear it sometimes…

I am not significantly overweight, I have exercised regularly my whole life (mid-40s), I have no health conditions and my hands swell considerably every time I go for a long walk. I think it's centripetal force (swinging arms) and gravity (hanging down) propelling the blood and other fluids to the hands. I am not a doctor…

So much good advice already... Log first. Taking the time to look it up and enter it means you are fully conscious of what you are doing *before* you do it. Rather than depriving yourself, just figure out how many calories of your favorites you CAN have. Sometimes 1/2 a cookie can be satisfying if it is delicious (and you…

Ask around for a referral to an acupuncturist. (there are a lot of marginal ones out there) Take your food log and all the other information they will ask you for. I have had amazing relief of pain. GP wanted to send me for MRIs or give me drugs. Acupuncturist had me fixed in 30 days and it's never returned.

Dress the widest part of you and take in the rest - forget about the number. Clothing manufacturers are trying to sell clothes-period. My waist is 12-14 inches smaller than my hips (depending on whether I am 115 or 125 at 5'1.5"). I gave up on numbers a long time ago. Find a great tailor and invest in clothes: rather than…

So nice of you to integrate the suggestions and repost!

Not attractive anymore?!? Gorgeous eyes! Beautiful skin! Good heart (trying to make things work with a jerk)! I am SO sorry you are going through this but happy for you that you are getting healthy for a new chapter in your life. You go, Girl!

We love organic CO for our skin and as a sub for fat in baking - a jar in the bathroom and a 2nd in the kitchen.

I suspect the doctor was trying to get at creating a caloric deficit. Historically physicians have not been well-educated in the area of diet so he didn't do a great job of saying that. Are you talking about a stomach where you can see your abdominal muscles more distinctly or an area you can rest a plate when you are…

^^THIS^^ Working out indicates self worth?? NOT a cause and effect relationship. Lots of very busy, confident people in this world don't work out. "Getting ready" - for what?? Women are not Barbie dolls to be dressed for Ken's arm - time spent in front of the mirror - again, no cause and effect with self-worth. Maintaining…

Congrats on reaching your goal!

This^ and Lyssa62 (you go, Girl!) You've gotten so much good advice here (with the exception of Mr. 1950's). I can totally relate. My husband refuses to eat just about anything I make lately. Gourmet meals I learned at a cooking school or a quick stir fry, it doesn't matter. If it's not a pepperoni pizza or a bag of chips…

I wear it next to my body, clip out, on the right side of my waistband; occasionally on my bra strap, facing in. At night I either leave it on my waistband or clip it to the sleeve/cuff of my PJs/nightshirt but I got bored with the sleep feature as I am a sound sleeper. Dh learned a lot from the sleep feature but he got…

Losing a pound every day or two is your clue...not healthy. Episodic binge eating (your weekends of whatever you want) coupled with extreme dieting (500 calories a day by any definition is extreme) meets the definition of bulimia. Consult your personal physician for assistance.

My two little ones and I just started a sugar "free" and yeast free diet 10 days ago at our Chinese doctor's direction. The boys have allergies and one has exema (sp?) pretty bad. Those plus a couple other symptoms the doctor chalked up to a yeast overgrowth or candidiasis. My biggest surprise was sugar on french fries -…

Terrific!! Be patient if the next 50 takes more time than you've planned and just keep going. 50 down: you are unstoppable!!

I'm with you, lizziebeth102. I work with a trainer twice a week and hate him for about 15 minutes of every 45 minute session. But I have never puked and at the end I am *thanking* him for making me do what I'd never do on my own. My money? Suspend your sessions and start walking 6 days a week - fast, slow, up hills, down…

Lee jeans (Kohl's) have always had roomier thighs and are not expensive. NYDJ are $100-ish; I found them to be forgiving for hips but not as much for thighs. I like the trouser jeans at the Gap but they have to be hemmed. In a dark wash they make my legs look long (in boots) (and that is quite an optical illusion for…

Log every bite, every day, and ideally *before* you eat it so you can adjust the portion before you blow it; don't quit, no matter how far you think you've fallen "off the wagon". If you are logging, you are not "off" - you may get bumped around on the ride, but as long you don't quit, a week later it's never as bad as you…

Wonderful story. Inspiring results. Thanks for sharing.

You look terrific - congrats!!

I am 5'1.5" and a veggie. I did WW Online before Points Plus and lost 16 pounds to goal steadily and easily. I liked the flexibility to eat real food, whatever I wanted, in sensible portions. I was a big fan. Then I tossed it aside because I thought I didn't need to log forever (I have learned since I will be logging for…
