You can find theater info on imdb.com. They will list showtimes for your local theater. Just type in a zipcode. NYC sounds like a nice idea, but many things will be closed on Christmas day.

I'll take no answer as a resounding no. Hey, that's good news! :-)

It depends what they put in the bread. Go for whole grains and/or unbleached flour. Avoid corn syrup, preservatives, coloring, added flavoring, and things you can't recognize. I actually cut out bread as much as I could, only to find out [from the doctor that] it was a great source for a nutrient I was lacking. (It's…

Usually, she means you are sweet, aka kind, aka nice. What do guys mean when they say that?

I am so sorry to hear your news. I prayed for you. I hope that God will bring you through this time with blessings you have not yet seen. Cancer is scary....been through it with family and friends.

Unattached. :-)

36C to 34D -- They're pretty much the same size.

nuts, beans (and rice), tofu, oatmeal (cooked yourself), edamame

But not too much water. (That can lead to other problems.)

I think this is the best site for C25K: http://www.nhs.uk/livewell/c25k/Pages/couch-to-5k.aspx There is also the original: www.c25k.com Active.com might also be of interest.

If dad knows your doctor cleared you, it might help him to relax. Why not invite your dad to join you at the race? Ask him to take pics and tell him where you might be on the course and what your overall time may be. He may find himself beaming at you and celebrating as you cross the finish line. My two cents.

That sounds like a compliment. To me, catcalls are flirty in an obnoxious way. Or, downright lewd. (One would think they'd be embarrassed, but nope.)

For running up to 4 miles, I have found the best things for me to eat are a handful of trail mix and a banana. I will dilute orange juice with water in a big water bottle (20 oz?) I'll drink 1/2 before I run and half after. Then, I may eat another banana on the way home and then eat a real meal. If I have enough time in…

You step into your everyday sneakers and realize how poorly they fit! You also question why there is no one to fit you into your dress shoes. After all, not all 7's are alike! (Did someone miss the memo?) ;-)

LOL. People will step on my feet accidentally and I will feel like they came close to keeping me from running that day. (Even though there is no way they did!)

Check out the running clubs in your area and find out which ones accept beginners. Having the accountability, or even just company, can help motivate. For myself, I know it would keep me running during the week if I knew I had to keep up with someone on the weekend. (I did c25k on my own during the week and ran with a…

My body seems to prefer the regular oatmeal that you cook yourself vs. the packaged stuff. I will add cranberries or raisins and cinnamon. (Sometimes, milk.) It fills me up for hours. Oatmeal has several grams of protein in it, which helps IMHO. Regular cereal will make me feel like I'm starving. It either has sugar in it…

Right now, I'm a 34D which is the size no one seems to carry. I know 32DD/34DD is also hard to find, so I really appreciate this thread. Thanks.

Great list. I agree!

This past weekend, I ran my first 5K at a faster pace than my practice runs! I also wore a top that I could not get into this time last year! :-)

I have to say that this is the shortest list of requirements I've seen in a while. I have a concern about augmentation though. Do you realize that sometimes au natural is really quite dazzling? I think the ladies would want to know something about you. What are you all about? Can they prune and pluck you when the ink is…

you think other people are just plain crazy for staying indoors.

Moderator, please pin this thread. This is good stuff! Thanks!

I see that you are on the autism spectrum. MFP might have triggered your perfectionism. As one poster said, it's almost like OCD when it gets out of hand. It might be helpful to "detox" from FB for a little while and speak to a trusted friend or counselor to help you revert back to good habits.

Let it be known that upon Monday, the 29th of April in the Year of Our Lord 2013 that fitplease has thereupon graduated with honor from the NHS Couch to 5K program! Celebrations will take place this weekend in the festivities of a local 5K. Woo-hoo! I feel awesome!!!!!! :-) Thank you everyone for your support over these…

Um, no. Healthy snacks are good for you. They help to keep insulin levels in check throughout the day. Edit: Mom kept junk food out of the house when I was little. It helped to develop good snacking habits. I also played for hours outside. There was none of this once-a-week playdate stuff. I was a thin kid.

Congratulations! I have one more day to go and can't wait! Are you going to run a 5k race now that you're done?

That looks like fun! I have ridden in Bike NY and enjoyed it. I totally recommend bike tours. :-)

Drink water, tea (with lemon but forget the extras today), or black coffee. Have veggies. You can make a big, filling salad. Use oil & vinegar for dressing. It is okay to zig-zag your calories. You can go over today and a little under tomorrow if you want. Then, eat regularly the next day. (As someone has suggested to me,…
