  • It depends on your goals. I aim to get a ratio of 40/40/20 protein/carbs/fat I also try to eat between 100 and 140 grams protein a day. I exercise alot and do not want to lose muscle and have heard that eating lots of protein prevents this. You can change your ratio on MFP in the settings menu. :)

  • I am in. Think I may be stricter if I am part of a team :)
  • Maybe it means that over the weekend you are having high sodium/salty foods.Even if you are within your calories I believe that these foods make you retain water. So by wednesday after being maybe more healthy you lose the water weight and see your actual weight loss as well. Just my opinion as this happens to me if we…
  • I use body supreme pure whey protein powder in chocolate. I have had the strawberry one as well and they both taste great. One scoop has 19 grams of protein and only 109 cals. It is v.low sugar/fat and carb. Strawberry makes a great smoothie with berries and the chocolate one with a banana. I love it and here in…

  • Hi, Dont know what the supermarkets are like in America but here we have a great selection of frozen veggies. They are usually frozen within a few hours of being picked so retain their vitamins. Also its easy to just grab a portion and cook as needed. I you dont have this option, buy fresh. Chop up and blanche for 2-3 mins…

  • I love it. I am on day 44 and have not missed a workout. I made a commitment to myself at the start and vowed not to quit and not to skip and I havent. This makes me feel even better about myself. The workouts are soooo intense but rewarding as well. If you are willing to work and are not a quitter. GO FOR IT!! You will…

  • You should try to eat something after you workout to refuel your muscles and enable them to repair themselves. I have a protein shake and some sort of carb like a small banana or a rice cake. Sometimes I have to force myself to have it but I know it does me more good than not.:flowerforyou:

  • I always eat back at least half of my exercise calories. MFP put me on 1200 cals and i do insanity workouts and try to eat a clean (ish) diet of approx 1500 cals. I try and follow the 80/20 rule and be active wherever possible during the day. If you dont eat the cals back at first you might lose a bit more but in the long…
  • You could enter it as circuit training-general. That is on there. Or use a heart rate moniter and manually enter a new workout with cals spent in your database.

  • hi, the protein is usually set quite low on the diary settings. I changed mine so its 40/40/20 carbs/protein/fat. I would have a high protein food such as cottage cheese salad or chicken. Dont worry about going higher on protein just watch the fat and cals. If you do go over on carbs today then reign it in a bit tomorrow :)
  • I try and eat 5 or 6 small meals of around 200-300 cals each.then i dont get too full or too hungry.
  • Hi, They are very intense and are recommended for people who already have a good level of fitness who want to take it to the next level. Before I started it I was already going the gym 4 times a week and working really hard and I still found the first 2wks of insanity completely insane.(in a good way though) I am now 4…
  • Hi, I have a measuring cup that is 1/2 cup and that holds 125mls. Sometimes its easier than getting the scales out.
  • Hi I would double check those figures. Go on to "my home" click on goals and if needed click " change goals" at the bottom of the page. I weigh 144lbs and want to lose 1.5lbs per week and it allows me 1200 cals plus any extra earned from exercise, which i dont always eat. Hope this helps.
  • Hi, My protein comes from eggs (whole and just whites), cottage cheese, tuna, salmon, mackrel, lean beef and chicken. I also have protein shakes (body supreme). 1 scoop is 19 g of protein. Hope this gives you a few ideas. :)
  • Hi, As I believe it your bmr or basal metabolic rate is what your body use just to survive. To breath, think etc. So just moving around and doing general tasks uses energy which would already put you in a calorie deficit if you are on 1200 cals per day. If you go below 1200 cals per day your body will go into starvation…
