I think the trick is that if you overeat on a particular day, not to just throw in the towel and think "I'll get back on the bandwagon after the holidays." 6 weeks of overeating will have a big impact. 1 day of overeating is negligible. My other tip, which is a bit controversial, is if you go out for a big meal, try and…

I've managed to maintain at 136lbs easily. No risk of putting on weight. But very hard to lose the last stone.

Hi, I've lost 4 stone. The first three dropped off in about a year and since then it has been slowing down and each pound is harder to shift. I'm at 136lbs and got about another stone to go. I've been on MFP for 2.5 years. The trick with losing a large amount of weight is finding something you can stick to and stay…

This week's special challenge is for dekutree who is obviously on a roll to message the other members of the group individually and say hi and share how he is doing so well :)

Hey Everyone, Unlike the previous challenges I have run, this time we only have a small number of people. This should be actually quite nice as we can get to know each other a bit and it will be easier to keep track of everyone. Remember the first weight in is this Thursday so remember to check in with: Challenge Starting…

So much BAD SCIENCE in here it makes me sick. I guess all the more fish for me :) nomnomnomnomnomnomnom

Of course it is in our nature to be interested in body types and who finds what attractive. We are just humans, all subconsciously judging each other on ability to reproduce.
-
You have lost a completely normal amount of weight for 1200 cals a day and 5ft2. Keep doing what you are doing. If you don't make any more progress in the next 3 weeks then review. Patience.

Just because your first flare up in a while happened to coincide with getting fitter does not mean that exercise was the cause. I suggest you work on getting yourself back into remission and then trying again. Flare ups are frustrating and unpredictable. Many people go years without a flare and then have a series of them.…

Seems pretty obvious that your sister has a problem.

Good for you for losing weight but this is not "proof" of anything and is bad science.

I do stuff with my husband but I don't rely on his company to work out. A typical week of workouts for me includes Monday - cycle commute (10k) Tuesday - cycle commute (10k), run with husband (5k) Wednesday - cycle commute (10k) plus errands (another 10k of cycling) Thursday - cycle commute (10k) Friday - cycle commute…

If it is all inclusive then 10.2lbs is my best guess. I've gained (and then lost again) similar amounts on similar holidays. A lot of it ends up being water weight from being over-salted.

I did c25 in 2011. In 2012 I ran 10k races and in 2013 I am now training for a Half Marathon. :)

Very very unlikely. I'm 5ft2 and 138lbs and at 180bpm and pushing hard on a bike up a hill I can burn 600 cals per hour.
