curve is calling his name

really, depends on your weight and BMI, and any exercise I think will do it as long as you put out at least 85% of your max. I weigh 133lbs at 5.4" and burn about 10 calories per minute running; 7 calories per minute doing Zumba; about 12 calories per minute swimming; and this morning I burned 6 calories per minute…

I ate 2-300 calorie servings, went over by 1,000 calories today, do I feel guilty? Absolutely not, I wanted it! Now I know that to stay within my "weekly" calories, I must not go over my 1300 for the rest of the week! That's what it's about, balance, 1 enjoyable day should not make you feel guilty, you will have many…

The problem is that generalizations about weightloss are never correct because weightloss is as unique as the individual. It's good information and some of your points are okay; however, this should be taken like anything else, as information that we can take or leave. My philosophy of weightloss: balance (if you eat alot,…

AGREE!!! That's been my plan through the 360+ days I have been loggin and I slowly and very effectively lost 22 lbs to put me at goal. As for the workouts: calories in calories out=balanced approach to eating. Do your workouts in the morning BEFORE work so you can't use exhaustion as an excuse. The plus of working out…

A lot of people will disagree with me here, but this is the only life I have to live. Yes, I want to be thinner and healthier, but I refuse to give up a lot of the stuff that I enjoy. Feeling like I can't have M&M's or some cookies or whatever makes me very resentful and I tend to binge eat when this happens. Go ahead and…

squats and lunges all the way!!!! Gotta have the "plum" :)

I lost 20lbs and it took me almost a year! Why? Because I wanted to do it the right way....slow and maneagable, so I could stick with it and not yo-yo. My motto: "moderation not deprivation, calories in, calories out" simple as that and this formula works for "me". It may or may not work for you but I will give you the…

Not sure I would recommend logging "normal" day to day activity, MFP already does that for you based on how you choose it. For example, I chose sedentary because I don't feel I do really strenuous work during the day. I wouldn't log cleaning, but it's a personal preference I guess. Do what's right for you and keep track…

Because "I" can and it's for "me" and age has "no limits" honestly..........Kick him to the curve IMO
-
that "moderation not deprivation" is still the way to go!!!! eat what you want just don't over do it

You look gorgeous in all of them but here is my breakdown: #2 shows off your legs (beautiful) #3 shows off your curves (nice flat stomach and curvy rear) #4 overall the best (simple but classy and makes your body look great!)

I'm a Zumba instructor but have never done the games. Zumba seems hard at first, but if you keep doing it and practicing the moves, it gets easier and you start to get sexier and move easier :) I love Zumba, it's a great workout and if you give it enough time you will begin to enjoy it! BTW, going to a Zumba class is never…

What!? They are "waiting" to fire him, this should've been an instant get your crap and get escorted out! What kind of gym is this!!!!?

alternatebetween beer and water, ounce for ounce, you will feel like you are drinking beer the whole time but you will save loads on calories and MONEY! ;) By the time the beer taste is "washing" away, it will be time for the beer again!

Personally, I don't diet, I eat anything I want and make sure I stay within my calorie goals either by counting calories or exercising excess calories away. I have lost 17lbs but it has taken me 275 days so far because I don't deprive myself of ANYTHING, literally, no foods are bad foods for me. Granted, I have lost…

Are you responding to his text messages? If so, STOP! Silence usually sways one way or another (he will either get serious and ask to see you OR you will never hear from him again!). Tell yourself you are better than that!!! MOVE ON

Forget the scale, inches is the way to go and your body will love you for it!

I think in some foods you are UNDER estimating calories. For example, you have 4.5 slices of pizza with a total of 660 (approx) calories and I think it shoudl be more like 1200 calories for that much pizza. Also, a lot of sugar and coffee drinks. I fight with myself all the time too with the coffee but I just don't want to…

Caffeine has a mildly diuretic effect but I'll give up my coffee when they pry it from my cold, dead fingers....... THIS!!!!! not bad in my book! :)

drink lots and lots of water

You do want to count every single calorie that goes in your mouth! That's how we plan! Those little splurges here and there are what add up in the long run! Search the data base, most everything you eat is in there. Not really hard.......

I ate a bowl of frosted flakes with 2% milk, double the normal serving i eat! :) But, I still have almost 500 and i'm not worried about it! Once in a while it's ok

I consider myself a super intense intructor, and I give no breaks either. There are 3 ladies that wear HRM and me. I burn between 400-550, one of the other ladies burns 650-750 (older/heavier), another girl (younger/heavier) burns about 600-650; and another (same age as me/a little heavier) burns 350-450. So the bottom…

Absolutely! I am an instructor and have two classes that only one male in each participate. No one thinks you are a pervert, we are too busy having fun and burning a lot of calories! Go try it,, you won't regret it! :)

All the great friends on MFP that motivate me even when I want to call it quits. Also, accepting that these days will happen, reflect on why I am doing this, and then moving on.....You can do this!!!

Yes!!! I have tracked for years when I diet, but I think I will make it a routine, it really is fun to do it and not time consuming. I print my entries and will look back after I have logged for a year ;)
