Hello! Everything that everyone told you; however, please work your other muscles too. You should always thrive for muscle balance so that you keep a symetrical figure. I would say just begin a well rounded sculpting program and you will achieve a firm and sculpted figure. Also, even when you are working chest, shoulders,…

How are you doing lately with your motivation?

Gogonunubean, you are right! Not all Zumba instructors are the same. I am a Zumba instructor and my students have sworn by it for their weightloss. I have a heart rate monitor and everytime I go to my Zumba class, it tells me I burn between 475 and 600 depending on how difficult my playlist is. Also, your workout is only…

just like with any other exercise, it's hard to calculate because calorie burn depends on your build. When I first started here on the site I was using what others had put in as their calorie burn for various exercises. Well, needless to say, I wasn't losing weight because it was not right for my body type. I highly…

a lot of water! Brush your teeth when you feel hungry, that gives you that yucky taste and helps curb your appetite. :)

Please don't give up! I have been logging in and keeping track of my food and exercise for 42 days and I have only lost 3 lbs. I felt the same as you at first, but we have to keep going. This is a life journey and we can't expect to change over night if we are to keep it long term. One thing I suggest to start with is to…

I agree! Why do we have to be deprived during special activities like these? Have fun and start over again tomorrow! As long as this is not a common practice........

No, you don't have to have rest "days" in between your resistance training, you just need to make sure you are breaking down your muscle groups so you don't work them two days in a row. Here is a workout I do that may help you that will let you work out every day. Monday: Back; Tuesday: Chest; Wednesday: Legs; Thursday:…

Slightly change your exercise routine. Incorporate both cardio and resistance training (resistance training can be done daily if you break up your muscle groups). Have you tried circuits or intervals ? How about a different type of cardio exercise besides what you are using currently (swimming burns the most calories and…

I teach spin and you get a large calorie burn if you are working vigourously for the entire class. Easy to do as long as you are following the instructor. Do you know what intensity level of spin you are doing?

I do it for my exercise and sometimes for my food if I know what I am doing. But most of the time, I have to wait for food because I don't know what I'm having until I eat! :) BTW, how do I look at someone else's diary?

strength training. have you tried it?

In order to truly track what your body is doing, I recommend you log it, especially if it's your regular day to do so, otherwise how else will you learn about what your body does in response to uncontrollable factors? If it's not your day to log, wait, but don't let TOM take you off track!! :)
