For sure! It's normally like 300 more than what you normallly eat.

i replace mine around 300-350 miles. I have two pairs that I rotate so I never wear the same pair back to back.

I don't think my joints could stand it, so I stick to triathlons. Every 5 years I want to do an ironman. I've done two. I think my body will last longer this way! I have always wanted to do a 100 mile race though. It's on the bucket list! Good luck!

Swimming is a great workout. I swim with my kid's peditrician once a week and we get a great swim in! It's so much easier on my joints than running!! :)

Count me in. I've been slacking! I've run 3 miles. :( Hey, it's a start!
-
LOL that's sorta funny!

Probably, but you may risk injury. Build three weeks and then back off a week and then repeat. So for the long run this week do 4, then 5 next week, then 6 week 3. Week 4 back to 3 or 4, week 5 7.5 miles, week 6 do 8.5 miles, week 7 do 10. Week 8 do 4 and week nine run 10 unless that's the half. You could easier go from 10…

According to Forks over Knives....good at first but then gets boring.....animal products lead to cancer and other unwanted health problems and we should all eat whole foods. Almond milk over cow's milk is what they promote. Everything in moderation is my philosophy.

You could also try and find a stoller fit class near you! That's a good workout and the children seem to enjoy it! http://www.strollerfit.com/

Do you belong to the gym now and does it have childcare? I work nights and have three kids 5 and under. On the days that I work, or the mornings where I was off before, I try to get this kids to the gym by 10 and get my workout in. As the days wears on, I find my motivation lags. If I didn't go to gym, I try to go out for…

I don't know the exact cause of them, but I always get them when I start back to running. While running, to get rid of them, I try to switch my breathing. When you run, you typically breathe in when one leg is going forward. For me, I breathe in when my right leg goes forward. So when I get a stitch, I force myself to…

Go to HEB and grind your peanut butter. My swim partner says it's the best! Well, if they have HEB near you! We eat Jiffy Natural. I think that's what it's called. It's pretty good. I'm going to go and grind some almonds and peanuts and try out the fresh kind though!

Depends on your pg. I ran with my first pregnancy until 32 weeks. Lower intensity of course. When I was pg with the twins (high risk pg) I was not allowed to exercise until past the first trimester and then I was allowed to walk or do water aerobics. If you have a normal pregnancy, and had been working out, you can…

I make some yummy pumpkin protein bars with my oat flour. There's also a chocolate or carrot if you don't like pumpkin! Check out the link: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/jamie-easons-livefit-recipes-pumpkin-protein-bars.html

Any way to go on the weight loss! That's awesome!

I'm with SunSwingsLow. If you can't carry on a conversation while exercising (just a sentence at a time) then the intensity at which you are working at is too hard. That said, I have worked out for many many years so I know my body well and I can judge my workout by my perceived exertion. I stopped wearing a heartrate…

I'm going into the third week. So far, Iove it! I have a hard time wanting to eat eggs at night though, so I'm skipping that! :)

I had bursitis in my hip and it hurt when sitting, running, and lying. I had cortisone injected into it and went to physical therapy. I say rest it and if it doesn't go away then ice and advil. If still no luck, then it the orthopedic dr. and get your diagnosis!

Also, for long runs greater than six, eat your pasta two nights before. Don't be afraid to load up on lots of noodles and bread!
-
Have you tried Carbo Pro? When I trained for my ironman tris, it worked great for me. It is colorless and flavorless and you just add it to your drink. You have to drink anyway right?? http://www.tri-zone.com/Details.html?cat=120&item=SOCBP

Find a loop that will pass my car and have bottles of cold fluid in there that I can pour into my bottles!

I do. My theory is if I'm not on antibiotics or running a fever, or vomiting, then I'm ok to work out!
