The finish line was way better at Texas Ironman vs. Great Floridian 140.6, but that was the only difference for me! I still felt like an ironman after finishing Great Floridian! Either way, you know you are out there doing something great! :)

I need to step it up from last month. LOL So goals: 6.0 mile swim I have tendonities and bursitis in my right shoulder so I think that's all I can take bike 112 miles run 60 miles....needs to be more than the 19 I did last month!

My numbers are so lacking, but that's ok! Swim 6.3 miles Bike 62.8 miles Run 19 miles.....not real sure what happened on this one! There's always room for improvement. Moving on to March! Lots of peeps putting up some impressive totals! Way to Go!!

Crux, I did Gulf Coast tri 70.3 which has an ocean swim. I didn't notice the salt water after. Too many other things to think about. That said, it's very hard to site out in the ocean. Here's the plan: 4/7 sprint 5/5 sprint 6/3 sprint 8/5 sprint 8/25 olympic 9/30 olympic 11/4 half ironman 11/10 warrior dash and I may do the MS 150 which is a bike ride from Houston to Austin. It's in April.

You're doing 100's on 1:20, 1:15 and 1:10? Dude, I didn't even have to do that in high school! Well on the days my coach gave us 60 x 100 we ended up on 1:20 and below, but when it got to 1:10, we were just coming in. I'm lucky to get in at 1:20 now. Kudos to you!

I always find Gale Bernhardt's training plans to be user friendly. I don't look at them and feel overwhelmed. I always feel like they are realistic for someone who is just looking to finish and not place in the top three! That said, I always use her plans as a guideline. You gotta have someone to swim with or find a master's group. I have a swim partner and she keeps me accountable for getting to the pool. Otherwise, I would ditch those workouts and I'm a swimmer. LOL

I did Great Floridian Iron Distance in 2003 and Ironman Texas in 2010. Plan to do another in 2015! Love the distance!
