  • This is why I stay away from scales and judge by the way my clothes fit. Scales are extremely damaging to my mental health. It's so frustrating because weight does fluctuate depending on any and everything under the sun. Or so it would seem. To answer your question, I've weighed myself at night recently and freaked out…
  • I was diagnosed with it when I was 7. I've been taking medication ever since. I can tell you that it is much more difficult to lose weight even if blood tests show I'm in the normal or slightly hyper range. I'm kept slightly hyper because it helps my symptoms. In my personal opinion (not in the medical field) it has to do…
  • I love the advanced CDs but I wish there were more. I've had TF for over a year and to be honest, I'm not as excited about doing it anymore. I'm a Turbo Kick instructor so I switch up TF and Turbo Kick rounds for a little variety. I do think the advanced DVDs are worth the investment. My 2 favorite TF songs are on Fire 60.…
  • I go for NF greek yogurt or oatmeal. Both are filling and not too heavy on the stomach.
  • This is only my 3rd day here but I find it helpful in a way. It's motivating to see how much less I'd weigh in 5 weeks. That said, I know it's totally inaccurate. Everyone's body is different. I take the actual number with a grain of salt.
  • That's so sweet. What a lucky woman your wife is. I'm still single and every one of my boyfriends in the past 10 years has made a comment on my stretch marks. I've been asked "were you pregnant"? by at least 2 of them. One was even kind enough to point out that I had marks on the underside of my arm. Up until that point I…
  • I also recommend Turbo Fire. It's high intensity and some of the moves can be a bit tricky. I would suggest getting Turbo Jam before Turbo Fire. Turbo Jam will teach you the moves you'll use in Turbo Fire but at a slower pace.
  • Yes. It's very high intensity and not for beginners. I am by no means new to exercise or high intensity and I found it tough to keep up. It's a bit tough on the joints because there is a lot of plyometrics involved. It's not something I'd recommend to people who haven't done any cardio/interval training for at least 1-2…
  • This is my LONG list. I like to have lots of options. Some have been suggested by other posters. I'm just cutting and pasting the list. Britney Spears - I Wanna Go, Hold it Against Me, any Britney song Missy Elliott - Gossip Folks & Pass The Dutch Colby O'Donnis - What You Got Run DMC - It's Tricky, It's Like That Justin…
  • Polar has good HR monitors. Bodybugg is awesome if you're willing to spend the money.
  • There's an outstanding book called New Rules of Lifting for Women. I highly suggest reading it. The book includes workouts for beginners through advanced. Easy to follow.
  • I started with 3 and moved up to 5. I also started out doing push-ups on my knees and built up to regular push ups.
  • Have you tried Ripped in 30? I like it a lot better than 30DS. The music is much better and there are 4 levels instead of 3. It's a bit more challenging than 30DS but definitely more enjoyable, in my opinion.
  • I agree with the post above. My jaw almost hit the floor reading these comments. I'm a 34AA and wish I could fill a bra. Send some my way too, please.
  • Thank you all for the warm welcome and positive comments! I really appreciate it. Need all the support I can get right now.
