First, thanks for being Captain. I love the name! I've never done this either, so I don't know what I'm doing but I will give it my all! Go team "Burnin Thru August!"

Ok, I'm in.

Sure you were feeling defensive. Who wouldn't when you are doing the right thing for yourself. I would say that if he couldn't come up with some valid complaints, then it truly his own insecurity. Either he's scared of losing you, or he's feeling guilty that he isn't doing something himself. We tend to lash out and make…

I would love to do this but I have a question first. I wouldn't want to hurt a team by joining them. I have torn my achilles tendon twice (yep, 2 surgeries - 6 months apart) so I can't do any running or jumping. I can do cardio (modified for my foot) and crunches, walking and such, but running not in the picture for me.…

Congrats!

What did you tell him? Or did you say nothing?
-
Wow! Great accomplishment! Congrats!

Oh I'm feeling kind of silly now! I just looked at my cornmeal and it's the "self-rising" kind, so that's why! Sorry, guess I should have looked earlier!
-
And I was giggling a little when I saw that it would calculate all kinds of things for you, and one of them listed was arsenic!
-
I'm sure there are plenty of calculators out there, but here's one I just found fromm the US Department of Agriculture that calculates fiber for you based on sex, height and weight. It said 25 for me! Going to change mine now! http://fnic.nal.usda.gov/interactiveDRI/

We used to love to eat at Red Robin (notice I said used to...) and loved the seasoning they put on their fries. We found out we could purchase it for $4.00. It's a huge bottle and lasts for months. It's became my favorite tilapia companion. If you are watching salt in your diet, I wouldn't do this, as the seasoning is…

No, they do just fine. Cornbread never rises too far anyway and in traditional cornbread recipes, the egg helps it rise. I am guessing the mayonnaise is accomplishing this. That's a total guess on my part.

Dang engineers............ Lol. I can say that, I am a GIS coordinator! :) Any of you are welcome to add me too. I just started a week and a half ago, so looking for any advice, suggestions or butt-kicking when needed!

I get the sugar free, orange creamsicles at the grocery store. They are 80 calories and really help when I have a sweet tooth. Now that I know about the McDonald's ice cream though......

Looks like it truly is a "to each his own" and what works for each individual.

Seriously? No FB...how else could I get to be a farmer?

A nutritionist told me that eating all your days supply at one meal was horrible for the metabolism in your body. Even worse if you do it in the evening. His best advice: Eat like a King at breakfast Eat like a Queen at lunch Eat like a Pauper at dinner

Looking good! Congrats!

Belt notches! Love it!
-
That's wonderful! You look fabulous!
-
Lol. I did too and could have ran a small "smartcar" on the amount of carbs I was consuming!
-
Hey Heather! I have to say that logging my food for a few days before I actually started, really opened my eyes to how much wrong stuff I was eating. It will be an eye opener! You can do this!
-
Bottom line: WE CAN DO THIS!!!!
-
Thanks Mrs. J!

I really do. I was on track to lose 2 pounds with the food intake and ended up with the extra 5. I truly don't drink water...hardly at all, normally. I do think it was the trick with me that first week and I'm sure I heard my body say, "Thank you! It's about time!"
-
I love this site! The food diary has really helped me see what I was doing. Congrats on your weight loss!
-
Ok, so you lost 15 lbs last time? That says to me that you can do this! Now you just have to say it to yourself! I know it's hard when you have to sit down at a table with food that you shouldn't have (moving back in with parents), but you can truly do this! Baby steps...one day at a time and be proud of yourself!

Thank you everyone! I really hate water but I am making a go of it! I found it was easier when I bought a 32 oz. bottle and keep it filled at my desk. It's much easier to drink 2 of those instead of 8 regular glasses. I know...I know...totally a mental thing.... Forgive me if my signature keeps changing...I'm still trying…

Thank you very much!
