I really like these 3 routines, @enlightenme3! All fairly simple actions to take with one leading to another and then to another. Like a choreography of dance moves…you know what comes next because it’s triggered by the last action. Well done!

This…This…THIS! We have missed you both! I love that our group is something you both want to return to. I’m also VERY thankful that @77tes and @jamcnewman are checking in regularly…we need the wisdom of our long term members! And to @TerriRichardson112 @donna25trinity @snowshoe072, members who have been with us for several…

@texasgardnr, you made my day to see your post! Welcome back and we have missed you! Totally understand though that life can get pretty crazy and we need to step away and focus on our families and other aspects of our lives. I’m just thrilled to see your post! I am also delighted to see so many people from the UAC group…

Last night was the first night with my sleep mask. I woke up at 7:10!!! It’s super comfortable and has a cutaway for the nose, which allows just a trickle of light. I like that because I don’t want to be in total darkness.

@enlightenme3 and @CindyFabFFG welcome to our group! We are always happy to have UAC members join us and you will see some familiar faces and names around here. I hope you had a great backpacking trip, @enlightenme3!

I love your mindfulness habit, @jamcnewman! What a great way to start the morning!

I ❤️ this, @MadisonMolly2017. Sleep, eating well, and physical activity are essential to feeling good. When one of the 3 is out of balance, usually the other 2 components suffer. I know when I don’t sleep well, I’m far more likely to eat poorly and not get my steps in. Knowing how much you enjoy walking and how much daily…

100% agree with @MadisonMolly2017. If you want to create a new behavior or habit, creating triggers/prompts and rewards for those new habits is the best way to do that (and backed by research). Repetition is the other key. Over time and with lots of repetition, the new behavior usually becomes routine and something you…

Looks like we are off to a great start in June! Today my sleep mask should arrive and I’m looking forward to trying it out. @MrsDavis1517, Great idea to focus on increasing your water intake this month! I have a related suggestion for you. Don’t put your hydro flask within arms reach. Place it somewhere near you where it’s…

This is beautifully insightful, @donna25trinity! It is ridiculously easy to exercise our excuses as to why we’re not making the daily choices that will lead us to the better life we want for ourselves. And I get it, and I do the same thing. But usually it’s just easier and faster just to make those small daily choices. It…

My plan to get more sleep has three prongs: 1. Be in bed by 10:30 each night 2. Use a sleep mask 3. Listen to a Sleep Story using the Calm App Only the sleep mask is new. @jamcnewman this is the one I ordered on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FSFBSXY The 10:30 in bed target needs work. I love the sleep stories on…

Hi Everyone! I am over the worst of my 3 month annual reporting season and will be more present in June. I’ve been thinking about what I want to focus on in June (and beyond) and it’s sleep. I really struggle with sleep in the summer because of the early daylight. I’m hoping the sleep mask I have coming later this week…

Terrific to hear, @MadisonMolly2017! Especially on the breakfast habit!

@jamcnewman, I find it really tough to disrupt my routines, especially due to an illness. I hope your allergies are better and that you can resume your outdoor walks?
-
That’s what I’ve been working on as well, @travelbug002, increasing my water intake. It’s much higher in May than it was before May. Something I plan to keep doing.
-
Congratulations, @77tes on your consistency! Not at all surprised, but still great to hear!
-
This is just wonderful to hear @Jana_2020! Congratulations on your new job and I’m just thrilled to hear you are checking off your daily habits easily because of the solid routines you’ve built! That’s fantastic!
-
I completely agree! I love your gratitude habit, @TerriRichardson112! I found this gratitude prompt awhile ago. Really helps me to recognize how many things in my life I am grateful for!

One more month before we submit our annual report and my life settles down a bit. So I'm going to focus on a small, but important goal this month: drinking more water. Cue: Reaching for coffee, tea, seltzer, or beer. Seedling Habit: I will have a glass of water first. Reward: Then I can have coffee, tea, seltzer, or a…

I hope you had a great birthday @TerriRichardson112!

I really like your list, @donna25trinity! Very powerful to start a list of personal attributes with the phrase: “I am a person who…“ Mine might include: I am a person who looks forward to the end of annual reporting season (in mid June) and having a more balanced life again! 😀

I completely agree! Logging accurately is essential, I think, to losing weight and often for keeping it off. I’m in maintenance so I don’t always track my food. But when the scale starts trending upwards and gets out of my maintenance range, I track my food accurately until I’m back in range. I’ve promised myself I will…

Another habit tracker I stumbled onto that I really like! Each month has a space for each day to be filled in and over time you can really see your progress!
-
Also, here’s a new habit tracker that I saw in another group I’m part of. Each month has a space for each day to be filled in.

I’m glad our April challenge resonates with you, @donna25trinity and I really like your bulleted list of personal affirmations! I wanted to share my favorite environmental change that I’ve made recently. My husband and I eat a fair amount of bread. It’s a staple and we always have it on hand. Always buy the same kind of…

I've enjoyed reading your updates and @donna25trinity, I'm glad you like the quote! My favorite VR fitness app that I mentioned earlier has been running a special contest every week in honor of women's history month. Each week they select a theme and then build a workout around that theme with a special musical playlist.…

@donna25trinity, this is such a great list! I especially like the one, “I am a person who distracts herself from worrying”. One of my favorite insights from meditation is that we don’t need to pay attention to all of our thoughts. Especially the unhelpful ones that take us on a rumination ride to nowhere. It takes work and…

@biketheworld, I also start my day and love my morning routine of coffee, iPad, and scrolling through news and other updates on things I care about. But you’re right, it’s easy to lose track of time and let the day get away. Fortunately, I still have my job job to keep me on schedule for the weekdays.

Hello everyone! Thank you for your posts about my mom. They are very much appreciated. You’re right @TerryRichardson112, elderly parents are a constant worry. But I had a bit of an uptick this week. My mom called me yesterday!!! It’s the first time I had talked to her in over a month. Such a big relief to hear her voice. I…

Hi Everyone! I’ve been reading through your posts and am enjoying your “I am” statements and the actions you are taking to strengthen the identity-based habits you’re working on. I’ve had better weeks. I’m very worried about my Mom who lives in an assisted living facility along with my Dad, who lives in a separate wing as…
