Not true if you live in NJ. I'm about 30 miles outside of Manhattan also. It's the ONE thing we usually have pretty cheap here (relative to other places, anyway). AND we don't have to pump it ourselves. :)

I do the same thing...it's all a head game. You know you'll be going out, think you'll probably blow it anyway, so you overdo it before you even go out. I don't really have the answer...I find that some days it's easier than others. And if it's a day I've worked out, that keeps me more on track because I don't want to undo…

Definitely fruit...grapes, oranges/grapefruit, apples, pineapple, etc. etc....all good choices. Olives? Air-popped popcorn?

I make a nice smoothie...with fruit, almond milk, flaxseed. You can just shake it up with the oatmeal a bit...maybe try steel cut oats or add different fruit...one day add some sliced apple with cinnamon and another day add banana with a bit of natural peanut butter, etc. That's what I do when I get in a rut.

I only like it in smoothies or used in cooking. I can't drink it straight or on cereal...don't like it.
