  • your net should be 1200 if you have the base calories before exercise at 1200, If your base is at 1500 then you should net 1500 which means that 900 you netted means that you could have eaten 300 more calories.
  • Tough Love and America's Next Top Model All Stars!
  • hahah this was great!! made my day thanks for sharing!
  • My trainer told me I need to eat at least 100 calories within one hour before working out. Then I need a high protein meal within one hour after I workout so my body can regenerate from my workout.
  • I only use running and circuit training, usually circuit training for me is pretty close within 10-20 calories of what my HRM says. As for running though MFP actually under estimates my calories by probably 40% from what my HRM is says. So if I go on a run and burn between 600-800 cal according to my HRM usually MFP says…
  • advise from a registered and licensed dietitian at the Mayo Clinic http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/food-and-nutrition/AN01119 Here's another article from WebMD, it was reviewed by an MD http://www.webmd.com/diet/features/lose-weight-eat-breakfast
  • When I started eating breakfast, because I used to be the same way, I would force myself to eat a substantial breakfast and lunch, then only eat a small dinner, by the time I woke in the morning I would be starving because my body wasn't used to having such a small dinner the night before. This is how I switched up my…
  • I think that's great that you know you have a problem with moderation. I think those times you have to eat are great. Try packing an apple (~80 cal) and/or a banana (~110 cal) to eat for a snack either in between classes or in classes that teachers are ok with you eating a snack. I know when I was in high school my…
  • Do you play any sports? Who cooks in your house? What do you guys usually eat? I ask these questions because when I was in high school I considered myself to be one of the larger girls. Even though I did a lot of sports and was very muscular I still had a lot of fat, because of how and when I ate at home. Also, my mother…
  • go to www.eatingwell.com this is a great website with tons of recipes not just about chicken.
  • I would have the hardest time with number 4 I was taught growing up to eat everything you put on your plate or anything that is put in front of you so this is def. a hard one for me this is why I've cut down on going out to eat and eating at home more where I can control the portions that go on my plate.
  • OMG this is hilarious I love it!!!
  • Harry Potter fans must see this youtube video it is hilarious and Mandeiko I say Harry Potter the exact same way! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tx1XIm6q4r4
  • Hahahh Maybe not parcel tongue, but they will definitely walk around trying to speak like their british!!!
  • I completely agree, don't get me wrong when I say this, I love the movies I atleast watch one harry potter movie a week, but they leave out a lot of character building especially with the house elves and a lot of the other co characters. The movies are mostly about Ron, Harry and Hermione and in the books JK Rowling does a…
  • Aww it's a movies just suppose to be entertaining. I do understand though. I found myself having to explain a lot of that movie to my friends who hadn't read the book, because they had no idea what was really going on they just thought it was a cool action movie with wizard duels and the concept of love and evil and we…
  • Kinto Sol and Alex Ubago I know they are on way opposite spectrums but I love them and their easy to understand.
  • are those calories you've eaten the last 2 days correct? if so you need to eat more your body may be going into starvation mode meaning your body will hold onto anything you give it.
  • Once a week would be ok, do it first thing in the morning with an empty stomach. It would be nicer to weigh yourself every 2-3 weeks in the beginning because the longer you wait to weigh yourself, the more weight you will lose with exercise and the more gratified you will feel! In contrast, if you weigh yourself every…
  • The documentary Food Matters on Netflix is also about this aswell. We also have to remember that Americans consume a lot of animal products there is no moderation. A lot of other societies do have dairy and meat in their diet, but in moderation. This documentary did change my attitude though towards food and I eat about an…
  • If your going hard at a gym on a progam I would say drop it. Once I started working with my trainer which is once a week, usually wednesday, but she makes strength training workouts for me for Friday as well so Tuesday and Thursday I do cardio. I could do the 30DS on Monday, but I've just gotten off a 20 hours shift at…
  • I wouldn't worry about the 6 course meal too much usually nice meals like that the serving sizes are extremeley small and since it takes awhile to get each course you fill up pretty quick. As for the BBQ just take little samples of what you like it's all about moderation. If you feel the need to binge find a dish that seem…

  • After looking I think a way you could slowly cut down your sodium is decreasing the ketchup and barbecue sauce. That will cut out a lot of sodium there.
  • You eat too much salt and dont drink enough water. What happens is your body will retain water if your eating too much salt so it looks like the problem is that it's not that your not losing weight (fat) its that your retaining water which makes it look like your not losing anything.
  • I got my scale at walmart and I think it works pretty well. Also, I do official weigh-ins once a week usually sunday morning, but i do weigh myself like 2 to 3 times a week. The reason for doing an official once a week is becuase our weight fluctuates a lot from day to day and by officially measuring once a week it's a…
  • a whole cucumber with skin cut up and spring mix salad (app. 1 to 1 1/2 cup) with Light Kraft Italian dressing. All just 90 calories. It takes me a while to eat this because of the cucumber slices which is why it fills my up, since I"m eating slow it gives my body time to tell me it's getting full.
  • Since I don't know what you look like, from looking up your BMI it's in the healthy range. I think instead of looking at a number look at different parts of your body you would like to tone and by doing that your body will naturally gain or lose weight to accommodate for muscle gain and fat loss.
  • Well he's only 13 so i think his muscles will come with a little more time. Also, if he wants to look into firefighting go to your local fire department and see if they have a program called Explorers he's not quite old enough yet, you must be 14 to join this programs. Anyway this programs teaches teenagers about…
