  • Your story is really inspiring - and not an easy one when you're an actor. The industry can be really cruel and it's hard to reach a point of self-acceptance and self-love. You look fantastic and congratulations on finding some success in NYC! If you don't mind, I'mma add you as a friend, because theatre folk should stick…
  • I met my partner online. We were friends through Marvel comics forums first, so it wasn't like I set out to date anyone online - in fact, after two disastrous online relationships previously (that also started with friendships and not through dating sites), I'd vowed to never do it again. Two years later she moved in with…
  • I hate that I can go along perfectly fine and be really content eating regular portions and healthy foods that I enjoy, and then all of a sudden I'm offered something unhealthy and I binge. It's not even because I'm hungry - it's because I act like I want to make sure I get a lot of it as if I have to horde it and store it…
  • Bump!
  • I need a video of someone attempting to use this. Right now. It will make my day.
  • Absolutely. I think there's a part of me that ties up a lot of my fear of doing things into my weight. I blame my shortcomings or failings on my weight and if that's gone, I have to take more ownership.
  • A suit of medieval armor.
  • Theatre professional, which entails a lot of hats - actor, acting coach/teacher, box office associate, house manager, graphic designer/website manager for three companies, and theatrical photographer. Starving artists have to pay the bills somehow. :)
  • I've been overweight my whole life. I was first aware of it when I was 12. My mom cooked healthy foods but I was prone to sneaking food and snacking, and the moment I was able to cook for myself it was usually in huge - really huge - quantities. I ate too fast and wanted the good feeling from tasting food to last, so I…
  • What a coincidence! I just started today - and learned that my arm/chest strength is UTTERLY PATHETIC. But I'm starting off with modified pushups on my knees and supplementing them with standing wall pushups (with my feet ~3ft from the wall or so), just so I can build up a little more strength without totally exhausting…
  • Added back! Thank you so much. <3
  • My favorite is just cucumber (lightly seasoned with salt and pepper) with Rondele light garlic/herb or garden vegetable spread on a spinach tortilla. It's mild and creamy, easy, and it reminds me of tzatziki. When I'm feeling ambitious I add a little lettuce and some colorful bell peppers. It's actually what I'm eating…
  • Hi, Austin! My girlfriend & I are on here and both of us need to lose a significant amount of weight and get in shape. We're big video game/comic book fans - we met thanks to a love of Spider-Man, actually. :) So I'm glad you friended me! Welcome to MFP!
  • I completely agree! I tend to bypass salads in restaurants or even at home, and then I eat them again and wonder why on EARTH I was eating anything else. Probably because it's been drilled into my head that we're not really supposed to enjoy salad? I don't know! Right now I have a big, simple salad for lunch every day…
  • Just chiming in - Dance Central 2 is GREAT. It's fun and challenging, and the choreography is really fantastic and feels like real dancing. It's got a lot of improvements over its predecessor and is pretty much ideal in terms of design and control. LOVE it.
  • I love you, darling, and you have my full support. :flowerforyou:
