I usually find that it is most accurate to weigh everything (pasta, veggies, meat, rice, etc...) raw! However, it also depends how you are recording it. If you are using the nutrition facts off of the package, weight it raw. If you are choosing chicken as an already-listed item, them be sure to read it (they often say…

You are correct - the diet pop has no calories, so should not be going against your dieting. However, I remember reading somewhere they the aspartame in them actually make you hungry, where water would make you feel full. I used to drink 2 diet drinks a day as well (coke, root beer, etc...), but decided that it's not…

In my opinion, all you have to do is adjust your favourite recipes. Some of my favourite foods are lasagna and pizza. Therefore, I now made chicken pita pizza, and wheat lasagna rolls - both for under 500 calories for a satisfying dinner! ;) So - what are some of your favourite foods?? Curry chicken/lentils/chickpeas on…

Just be happy with yourself that you are deciding to do this before you are obese (like so many of us were at the beginning of this journey!) Keep your eye on the prize, and set goals for yourself! ;) Best of Luck!

I know that it's always up to a person how commited they are. However, I have seen this kind of situation in the past that has worked: Get every member to pay $5 - then 50% can go to the person who loses the most percentage of weight, and 25% to both 2nd and 3rd place winners. Maybe start it right away and end it right…

I assume that you are talking about the Les Mills classes? If so, I regularly do the step, pump, combat and attack classes. You are correct about the attack having more jumping involved - but you could always do it and take the lower options for those specifid moves?!? I have never tried Vive before. I assume that it's a…

In my opinion, anything that is healthy for you can only be a "good" obsession! Besides, I personally feel that I will eventually lose my motivation to go to the gym so often (especially with the winter coming!), so why not stay commited while I feel like it?!? And to answer your question, I do not have the energy to go to…
