Awesome, if it works for you that is all that matters even if it's temporary :) Glad you found it before your vacation!

I just counted 9 ingredients in a very popular brand fat free sour cream and only 3 in their full fat regular version. I'm sure there are the exceptions, but in general products that have fat taken out will have more ingredients.

I am in the camp of NOT liking low-fat items that are not "naturally" low fat. For instance, I would not buy fat-free sour cream instead of full fat (I don't eat much dairy anymore though). They remove the fat and replace it with other ingredients. It's also been proven that you tend to eat more when you eat no/low fat.…

I eat clean 90% of the time and 100% of the time while I'm doing Whole30. To me, clean eating is nothing that comes out of a box or has preservatives, artificial sugar, etc. I eat fruits, veggies, lean meats/chicken/fish. I do eat some potatoes, but stay away from most other carbs (other than fruit). I still try to stay…

I do truly think that it gets a bit tougher as I get older. I say that coming from a person who has always eaten healthy and been active. This is the longest it's ever taken me to get a few lbs. off. It used to just fall off as soon as I kicked up the extra workouts...not so much anymore :(
-
You got this! It's only 4 days and if you make the decision to eat well during your vacation then you'll be just fine :)

I HATE the heat lol!!! I try to go early in the morning or evening. I live in NC so I feel like I run in the heat for about 6 months out of the year. I much prefer to layer on the winter running clothes. I struggle through as much as I can, but I'm already starting to countdown the days until October when it cools off lol.

You got this!!! So you had a little set back. You are obviously awesome and strong because you lost 110 lbs. on your own. You clearly have an amazing drive. I do realize the hardest part about getting back on track is to actually do it. It's so easy to fall off and so hard to get back on. You had a major lifestyle change…

I'm sure your right about my metabolism, but this is just the first time that I'm trying to lose weight and it's not just falling off like it used to lol. I've never had issues and it was always a quick process for me. With my workouts and eating really well, I would have dropped my last 10 long before this. It's just so…

I do A LOT of home workouts because I have 2 young kids and can not always get out. I do p90x, jillian, random ones I find on youtube lol. If I can break a sweat and get the heartrate up for a good amount of time then I'm happy. I've gotten great results at home. I also run and walk with a double stroller so that factors…

Congratulations to you both. I was very active during my last pregnancy which was almost 3 years ago now. I ran until I was about 34 weeks and ran a half marathon at 5 1/2 months. I continued walking and doing p90x kenpo up until my due date. I did my last workout the day before I had my son. It was definitely worth trying…

However, if you are "eating clean" you are definitely not going to eat a sandwich from Panera. That is not clean eating. And just like you, I'll take the steak and wine ;)

Wow!!! You are doing great! Keep it up. You are looking amazing!

I LOVE making roasted veggies. We do it all the time. I use whatever veggies I have in the house, but a lot of times it's things like onions, garlic, grape tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, baby carrots, mushrooms, etc. I lightly drizzle olive oil and salt and pepper and whatever other seasonings you like. I roast at about…

Thanks. I'll check into getting an omnicrom. I've never had to literally watch things so closely before. If I wanted to lose weight or tone up more I just did it by watching what I eat and exercising. Maybe my metabolism is starting to slow down...that's actually what I feel may be happening. I'm having to try even harder…

No change :) But at least that would have been an explanation lol.

I do a have a bit of fat I could lose in the thighs, but nothing crazy. I'm trying to restrict just a few hundred calories a day to see if that makes any difference. Thanks for the reference to the thread you mentioned. I'll try to find that :)
-
I'm not even seeing where I can find that. I'll keep looking and hopefully be able to understand everything :) Thanks.

I used to eat oatmeal all the time and would make it and then add unsweetened vanilla almond milk, cinnamon, little honey and a few raisins.

Yes, I'm skinny in general in comparison to most people. I'm very fit overall. I run marathons and 24 hour runs take cardio and strength classes and walk/run with my double stroller often. I'm very good with nutrition as it's something I've been aware of for many years. I do have to disagree with the eating clean topic…

I am not weighing out my food, but I am tracking everything. I also know serving sizes because I have weighed my food in the past. Food is typically not my issue, but I have been keeping a much closer eye on it the past couple weeks. My diet is very clean and lean. I eat basically a paleo diet with many more greens than…

I'm eating in around 1400-1500 calories a day. I'm not starting over weight by any means and I am well within the range I should be in. I eat clean...lots of lean meats and fruits/veggies and some nuts. I make my food 95% of the time and do not cook with preservatives. I'm not new to being active at all. I run marathons…

Thanks. I've been doing this for a few months, can you really retain water that long? I don't use heavy weights so I'm not sure I could adjust that too much. I've never taken bcaa's so I'll look into that. Thanks :)

I've done it several times and typically just eat a whole30 diet in general (minus the typical treats here and there). I always feel really great after completing the entire whole30 with no cheats :) Almost every meal I cook is whole30 and I do not feel very restricted. Good luck, push through the first week and it will…

If I have to make something like that I do a box of devil's food cake/carrot cake/spice cake mix and a can of 100% pure pumpkin (15 oz). Mix the 2 ingredients together and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until done. You can do it in brownie pan or cupcake tin. Super good for 2 ingredients. Not a lot of extra cals, but very…

eggs, lots veggies (that I cut up and roast together), chicken, white fish, almonds.
