I read something recently that went into the why we do the things we do not just at lent but in our spiritual/religious life. It mentioned something along the likes that it loses its meaning if we aren't doing it out of love for God and to have a deeper more meaningful relationship with God...could this be what's missing?…

Not giving up foods per say we are giving up watching TV many evenings and praying the rosary daily; also trying to reflect and meditate on the Passion and death of Christ.

Rachelle, couldn't agree more...God help all of us!

Pica or Elite?

On Sunday I filled in meals for the whole week Monday-Friday for this week. I try to do that every week...planning makes the weight loss effort much easier that way you can incorporate your workouts as needed.

We'll be staying home away from the crowds...my husband shows me how much he loves me 365 days a year not just on Valentines...it's a Hallmark holiday!
-
Will have to try it sound good and looks pretty easy. Thanks for sharing it!

Order some Jazzercie DVD's from Amazon; it's a cardio workout but it's fun and if you enjoy what you are doing you are more proned to stick with it. Check out their website www.jazzercise.com

I was 41 when I got married for the 1st time...there certainly is/was nothing wrong with me; I wanted to find the right person and I certainly didn't settle. My husband and our relationship was worth the wait; it's better than I could have ever imagined. Like I read from someone else's post...lowering your standards…

I like how you journal and meditate on what speaks to you as your daily focus. I will have to try that and see if I am successful. Thanks!

In 2011 my husband and I started going meatless on Friday's not just during Lent but for the whole year. On occasion if we are traveling or away we will have meat but do this as an opportunity to atone for the sins of society. Rachelle do you currently do the Liturgy of the Hours? My husband and I do the morning & evening…

When I walk in our neighborhood I pray the Our Father, Hail Mary & Glory Be continuously until I get home. We also have a track around the soccer complex outside near our house and I usually do the same thing when I walk around there but it's only when I'm by myself.

Do you belive in the teaching of Papal infallibility?

Kinda late reply...but my husband and I have them too...watched them all within a 2 week period. So beautiful, so truthful everyone should watch them!

I'm 5'2" current weight 132.8 goal is 130...but I may drop it a couple more pounds once I get to 130. We'll see...

I bought a new digital scale last year too...have a similar problem but I still have our old scale too to somewhat verify. If you've got new batteries in then I would make sure your feet are placed in the same place each time you weigh. Does this scale measure your bone density & BMI aas well? Mine said I was 10 pounds…

I eat it Monday-Friday as part of my lunch; I eat 1% but it's low cal and fat and great in protein. Eating more protein makes you feel full...I've lost 32 pounds eating it...I think your doctor is wrong.
-
That's disgusting...can you say NO CLASS!!!

Pure water H2O & that's it!!!

Yes, I could do it without it have before...twice. I will say MFP makes it much easier to track caloric intake though...

20 so far...

Yes, I saw this, love it! More people need to read it; shame is the ones that need to most likely won't!!

Me too...obsession is not good; to me weighing every day doesn't make sense because weight fluctuates so much from day to day just because it may be lighter one day doesn't necessarily mean it's a true loss. If I drop and it stays off for 3-4 days I think then maybe it is!!
-
I like them both...I like A cause I like color...they would be so much better if they were in PURPLE!!  The B ones are a bit more subtle so if I needed ones that weren't so out there...I would pick B. My first choice is AAAAAAA though!!

Count me in!! Amen!

I never go to the gym workout at home saves time and I can do it at my convenience...no waiting on machines either!! Get some DVD's & workout when you can make the time. I have 3 Jazzercise DVD's that have various time workouts - 20, 30 & 60 minutes depending on how much time I have.

Pinchable cheeks...and no not the ones on your rear!! Clearly wasn't describing the right person someone posted before I did!! LOL~

I am 5'2" and my goal is 130 but I may change that once I get there; time will tell. I have about 7 pounds to go. I want to be more toned for sure and if I weigh more because of it so be it...I will be more fit. I'm not so much focused on the "number" but getting rid of the flab!!

I'll have to check mine...usually get mine from Trader Joe's would be surprised if it's not the real stuff! Thanks for sharing, good to be aware of!
