Marriage is a gift whether you recognize it or not; it moves one from beyond themselves to love someone other than self and for the good of the other...thinking it's a waste of time = same result...self centered - THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TO LIFE THAN SELF CENTEREDNESS & THINKING ME, ME, ME!

I have goose bumps reading this Kevin; you truly do inspire and I'm so proud of you! You barely look like the same person - YOU'RE ALL HEART! Happy dance, foot loose and fancy free - you're never quit attitude will endure!

Glad to see you, how you been?

Wil do; please let us know how she's doing as she's going through this. My mom is a breast cancer survivor it will be 4 years in June so it hits close to home with me too.

Reading your sister's response gave me goose bumps!

I find it rather vain that your fiancé deems your value in your size. You deserve much better, someone that loves you for the gift that you are. I suspect it will only get worse and for him not to be sorry is so pathetic - do you want to spend the rest of your life with someone like that? Chin up, you'll get through this…

My husband and I were looking at the candidates too...do you think they'd elect someone from North America? I'm thinking probably not but...who knows where the Holy Spirit will guide them.

My husband called me first thing from work this AM to tell me...I told him if this is a joke it's not funny. He then proceeded to tell me the details. I was shocked, saddened - as Rachel (Grasset) said he is a great intellectual but we have been so blessed to have him as our Pontiff. It took much courage and strength of…

Nuts, greek yogurt, whole grains - believe it or not popcorn -m air popped; granola bars...are a few. Nuts are great because they have the good kind of fat and your body processes it differently.

LOL - thanks for sharing!

Rachel, you certainly have to be creative with your food that's for certain since there aren't a lot of things you can eat. Kudos to you for doing it; not sure I could. Stations of the Cross are good too; we try to do them but I didn't even think about that...Ora thanks for the reminder.

My husband and I have been discussing this; we like to do things together and then we also do what we think we're being called to. We plan on fasting on Wednesday's with 2 meals typically bread and something on it...we both choose different things. I was pondering what else I wanted to do. We always like to fast during the…

Yes, I only workout at home doing Jazzerice DVD's, riding a recumbant bike and walking. I also golf when I can which obviously isn't at home...

Anyone but the ravens please! [/quote] I'm with you on this one!!! Hate the Ravens!!

Have to agree...too many people wasting time doing meaningless/trivial things.

I'm with you!! Can you say delete?!!

I delete them too if they are inactive...unless I know them personally then I don't.
-
Kudos to you and your efforts!! I'm 5' 2" too - you'll get there I have no doubts; feel free to add me if you'd like.
-
I agree w/you whole heartedly Rachel - many in our subdivision had their decorations up in mid November and down 12/27...what a pity.

Welcome to the family!!

Ora - was your angry cousin Mike Catholic at one time or has he always been an atheist?

Bushidowoman - that is a great tradition; I've never heard that either.

My husband and I hold hands but having grown up in Indiana, living in Chicago and then moving to South Carolina I've seen it done many different ways at different parishes. We hold hands with family, one time somebody reached out and held my hand here at a parish in SC. One time in Chicago when my parents were visiting my…

They were great responses and hopefully helped him to ponder it more; it's good to engage him in a dialogue - maybe that will get the Holy Spirit working in his mind & heart. We can only hope maybe one day he will realize what he's missing. One thing I try to remember is that we as human's could never grasp the magnitude…

Thanks for sharing; I've been reading a little bit about his in the "In Conversation with God" series of books. Have you ever heard of those? It speaks of being lukewarm in the faith and not growing which I correlate to what you've written about taking baby steps...it's like if we aren't moving forward then we are really…
