Why would they list "movie popcorn" as a diet food?

I'm still finishing up C25K myself, but I downloaded the "Bridge to 10K" app to use when I'm done because it is designed to be the follow-up program to C25K. It's a 6-week program that starts out with some intervals again, but with more repetitions. Looks pretty good!

I like it. :) He's fitter than I am, so it's a good challenge, but we can encourage each other to improve.

Well, I don't know about any specific gyms in the Indy area, but I would suggest using some of the bike trails in the area (the ones in Carmel are awesome!!) for exercise. For me, being outside and getting some fresh air is so much more enjoyable than the gym, however, I do go to the local YMCA in my town, too, when the…

I'm still in Week 6 of C25K, but I plan on starting Bridge to 10K as soon as I finish at the end of October, so I want to save this thread for later! Great job on your 5.3 miles!! :)

I know somebody who follows it, but she follows it to help with her severe arthritis and some other physical problems. She was already pretty thin before she went on it. She said it really does seem to help control her symptoms, though.

No... you're not the only one. :( (Although I have found that it does get easier after a while and I think I'm at a point now where my willpower has grown stronger through sheer habit.) From what I have read on the subject, it is definitely better to eat smaller meals and more of them, because what your body can't use at…

Cardio... it really just needs to be burned off. Pilates is good for toning, but as far as getting rid of it, it's usually the last to go and it just takes aerobic exercise and patience.

I bought Capezio shoes... man, they REALLY helped. I went from not being able to do zumba at all because it hurt my knees too much, to being able to do it for two hours at a time without much discomfort at all. They cost about $54, if I remember, but if you do zumba frequently, I think it's worth the investment. That's the…

Gross, but not surprising. :( I'd already pretty much decided that Nutella is one thing I can probably do without in my diet... doesn't give much back to you nutritionally. This video makes me feel even better about that decision.

10-minute solution Pilates is my absolute favorite... it's a really good workout, even if it doesn't burn that many calories! I also like the Crunch series... there are several good ones there in a variety of different styles. My favorite is Crunch Fat-Burning Pilates with Ellen Barrett, but there are several to choose…

I'm struggling with the same thing, and what I've found is the only way to really trim down the stomach fat is to burn it off. Cardio will do this most effectively. If you're just talking about toning your stomach, Pilates works great for that and is the best thing I've ever found for it. However... toning can only go so…

That is quite a story!! Congratulations to you on your incredible achievement. You look amazing!! :)

This!! I am C25K's biggest fan... it's been great for me and I am so happy I found it! :)

Just completed Week 5 Day 3 today, and I'm always looking for new running friends! :)

It's amazing what terrible things a stressful lifestyle and some extra pounds can do to the human body. Bravo to you for fighting back and getting your blood pressure back to healthy levels! :)

Protein helps you stay awake better and longer than caffeine does, so maybe you can have some apple slices with peanut butter or something like that? Or a turkey sandwich, maybe?

I don't have any tips... just lots of sympathy. What a crappy thing to happen. :( Hope you're able to find it soon!!!

That is such a great NSV! I love it when it's totally unexpected like that :) Keep doing what you're doing and there will be many more NSV's to come!! :)

Yes, do it!!!! I got the app for my phone and just use that to run. The first week, I was struggling to run 60 seconds at a time. I just did Week 5 Day 2 today and was able to run 8 minutes straight twice in a row without too much difficulty. The run one day-rest one day cycle is a really good idea, and the interval…

You look incredible! No matter how long it takes you to get the rest of the way there, you should be SO proud of your progress this far. Beautiful!! :)

Absolutely doable!!! :) I had to look up how much a stone was first, ;-) but I can now tell you I'm nearly 5 stone overweight, and I started this program when I weighed even more than I do now, and if I can do it, I know you can. My knees hurt quite a bit at first, but once I learned to adjust my stride (try to land on the…

Wow... not bad at all, guys! :) Go SkinnY!!!!!!!!!! Is it just me or is it SUCH a huge relief to be able to get some cardio in finally instead of all the strength challenges? :) I'm enjoying October so far... :)

I'm 5'9 and I have set my goal weight to 160, but I had a nutritionist tell me that I may decide when I get to 170 that that is good enough and leave it at that. I guess I'll see when I get there. I got down to 183 several years ago and I know I still needed to lose some at that point, so I'm thinking somewhere in the…

Ok... October challenges for me are officially DONE!!! I don't know if we need to take after photos this time or not, but I'm going to take them later tonight anyway, just for my profile photos. It helps me to know I'm making some progress. Hope it's a great Friday for everyone and have a fun weekend. :)

First of all... you're just taking it for a short time... it's not going to kill your pancreas. Don't worry about that (in case you were). I mean, what else are you going to do? An allergic reaction like that requires some drastic measures to treat it. Second... when I had to take prednisone for an allergic reaction, it…

Well... I can definitely see why you might want to give up Starbucks entirely, but what about another option? I still like going to Starbucks for the atmosphere and it's a nice place to meet friends or do some homework, but I started drinking tea instead of expensive coffee drinks. You pay a fraction of the price, get to…

Great way to look at things. I'm going to refer back to this post on days when I'm feeling discouraged. Thank you! :)
