I'm so proud of you guys! The difference is night and day--not just in your bodies, but in how much happier you look now, too.

You are AMAZING!!!!! I'm so proud of you!!! (BTW, Thanks for posting the pictures, too... besides being highly impressed with your results, you are my exact height and goal weight and it gives me a good idea of what I'm working towards!)

Your friend was not wrong. Kiku apples just recently dethroned Honeycrisp as my favorite apples ever. :)

I don't know if I'd call it "cheating," but this is what I do know. I used to count every little thing I did as exercise calories, and eventually my weight loss slowed to a crawl. When I stopped doing this, started counting ONLY intentional exercise calories and made sure my HRM wasn't overestimating my calorie burns, I…

You are an inspiration! Congratulations to you... you're just amazing. :)

I have found a spoonful of ACV helps an upset stomach (nausea) almost immediately. I haven't tried it for anything else, and I've never tried coconut oil for anything but cooking yet. I've heard several positive things about it from people outside MFP, though.

If she were 270 lbs, I could see your point, but she's NOT!!! Have you seen her picture? The guy's comment was completely uncalled for. Edited to say: NOT that this comment would be called for under any circumstances, no matter how big the person is. Obviously.

Exactly what I was thinking!!! I would be angry but probably not that shocked if somebody said that to me, but you don't even look overweight in the least! I can't imagine where he came up with that. Anyway, I'm very sorry it happened to you. :(

Absolutely this. I don't like it, but if I'm honest, I have to admit I'm terrified of going back to where I was, so I hate everything about the lifestyle choices that made me that extremely obese and unhappy person. And because I feel so much better the more healthier I get, I naturally want that for my family, friends,…

Yes!!! Librivox is excellent. If you can find anything read by Nicholas Clifford or Simon Evers on there, it will be very good. There are lots of other good readers, too, though. Harry Potter is very well done on audiobook and is my all-time favorite to listen to again and again. I like Stephen Fry, but there's absolutely…

Their generic brands of Kashi Go Lean and Kashi Go Lean Crunch are excellent. They taste exactly the same and have the same nutritional values, but cost several dollars less than what you'd find at any other grocery store. Also, you can't go wrong with the bags of frozen vegetables and frozen unsweetened fruits--WAY…

If you're looking for black tea, Yorkshire Gold, Barry's, and PG Tips are very good. For green tea, if you're just getting used to the taste, maybe try it mixed with Jasmine. Trader Joe's has a very nice Green Tea Jasmine, or lots of other brands (Celestial Seasonings, Stash, Numi, etc...) have similar blends. I also…

Exactly!!! The fact that I could even get up and walk around while carrying around several of those on the bottom shelf is staggering. :frown:

I know EXACTLY how you feel!!!!!!!!!! When I finally fit into a 14, I finally wasn't mortally embarrassed when I had to take it up to the checkout counter!! Congratulations on no longer being an X!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

For some reason, certain grocery stores only stock it in the organic section.

Katniss Everdeen from Hunger Games and Sydney Bristow from Alias. For guys, I would say Jason Bourne. I just admire that all these characters know how to handle themselves in dangerous situations and don't have to worry whether or not they'll be able to outrun someone.

Wow... some extremely encouraging posts here! I've wondered a lot about this myself (I'm another one who doesn't look quite like a traditional runner yet, although I'm getting there), and reading this thread just makes me so happy that I want to suit up and go out for a run as soon as I get out of work... who cares if it's…
