  • The Crunch workouts and 10-minute solutions workouts are GREAT. My favorites are Crunch fat-burning pilates and pilates 10-minute solutions.
  • I always listen to audiobooks while I work out, especially for running. I love librivox.org as a source to get free audiobooks. They have books that are out of copyright, so you'll get a lot of classics there. I also like audible.com--it's not free, but they have pretty good membership deals and a good selection.
  • I already knew this, but it makes me happy to read it again. :) Thanks!
  • Wow!! All that weight lost in just one year... you must be have worked SO hard for results like that! :) Great, great, great job... you're looking stunning. :)
  • Exactly this. Besides... leave it to someone from the Food Network to pimp out her life-threatening disease for a TV show. She is the most over-exposed person I know, outside of maybe those K-people. Ugh.
  • Bump to follow the story... :) Good luck! I think it sounds promising, but definitely don't come on too strong or it could get awkward. I wouldn't introduce the word "love" in this conversation, but you definitely should let him know you appreciate him and that you have feelings for him. (No need to say quite how strong…
  • Just had some an hour ago. It's delicious, good for me, and eating the individual strings makes it seem like a much bigger snack than it really is. :)
  • Thanks for posting! :)
  • Is this really the message that you want your kids to learn? That it's ok for men to treat women like this? BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT YOUR KIDS ARE LEARNING. For your kids' sake and your own... you're better off alone than with somebody like that. :(
  • I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't get past this statement. His parents might be nice and all, but expecting you to pop out a grandchild for them when you're 17 years old is beyond absurd. I would not consult them for advice, because it doesn't sound like they are thinking this through AT ALL.
  • The purpose is it makes it easier (for some people--probably not the same for everyone) to cut down or eliminate sugar from your diet. I tried gradually giving it up and it didn't work for me. I joined a "No junk food for 21 days" challenge and it helped me to get past the cravings because I just knew it was off limits,…
  • Well done! Not only does your waist look smaller, but you don't have a double chin anymore! Brilliant job! :)
  • I used to work at the bookstore on Mackinac Island, and people (who were not even customers, because they didn't BUY anything) were always complaining because we didn't have a bathroom in the store. This one lady came up and demanded that I show her where our bathroom is. I told her that we didn't have one in the store and…
  • Once I finish B210K, I'm thinking of joining a running club that's starting up in my neighborhood in February to train for a half marathon. In the meantime, though, I want to do lots of interval work so that I can improve my speed. I've gotten a lot faster since I first started running, but I feel sure I can do better than…
  • Yeah, it's definitely a hard workout, but no matter how far you get in it each time, you're still giving your muscles a challenge from the very first minute you start it. If you have to skip parts at first, don't sweat it. I'm really proud of you for moving up, though! :)
  • I ran C25K (and am now running Bridge to 10K) every other day, so some weeks it works out to 4 days a week, some 3. It's good to give your body time to recover after a run, especially when you're first getting started as a runner. On non-running days, I do cross-training, so that might include anything like elliptical,…
  • I agree with what others have said about the cold turkey approach. Trying to slowly wean myself off processed sugar didn't work. Giving it up entirely did. One suggestion for making it easier would be to drink herbal tea. Depending on what flavor you choose, it can have a sweetish sort of flavor that will help you with…
  • I prefer Slim in 6, personally. I tried 30DS, and it hurt my knees so much I couldn't even finish the first one (plus Jillian is ANNOYING), but I don't really have any trouble finishing SI6. I'd say if you have had any kind of knee injury, but still want to push your muscular endurance, go with SI6. It's kind of a…
  • Yeah, but you were doing this for 3.25 hours. It adds up.
  • I ran Week 2 Day 1 last night. The worst of it was definitely my feet... some new blisters let me know that it is high time I get myself some new running shoes. I'll be sad to surrender these ones to the bin, because they were my first ever pair of REAL running shoes. I'm going tomorrow to get myself properly fitted at a…

  • This happened to me, too... with me, it was the excess skin from higher up the torso that sort of dropped to around my waist when there wasn't fat to fill it up. The smallest part of my waist is much narrower now, but if you measure right at the navel, it says the same or more than before. Discouraging, but that will go…
  • I can definitely see Kate Hudson in some of your profile pics.
  • I agree with this... Lipton is a very weak black tea and doesn't taste anything like the stronger teas you're likely to find in a (black) tea gift sampler. So... unless your boss has an adventurous palate (which she probably doesn't if she drinks Lipton every day), then I would not get her black tea. Maybe go for some…
  • Yeah... you might as well just move up to Ramp It Up because the lunges and arm stuff doesn't ever get "easy." :) I am on Burn It Up and I still have to drop my arm sometimes. I almost cried the first time I did it, and I know I yelled something at the TV... Debbie Siebers is a crazy woman. haha :)
  • I'm doing pretty well with it... but still not doing it every day. SlackerMommy, I think you are ready for Burn It Up. It sounds to me like you've definitely grown out of Ramp It Up if you're able to say you're not getting enough of a workout. :)
  • bump (I want to come back and look at this picture again next time I feel like eating something I shouldn't...)
  • I don't do it every day, either... don't worry about that. Ramp It Up has a lot of the same moves, but adds twice as many. Try to imagine how many squats and lunges a person can do before their legs fall off... then double it. ;-) Seriously, it's my favorite of all the videos, but I'm doing Burn It Up now. I did ok at…
