    Thought this was interesting...

A few years ago a had a bunch of very random and seemingly unrelated health issues. Wandering and debilitating pains in my wrists and hips, pains in ears, irregular cycles, acne etc etc. I had all sorts of tests done. Everything came back normal. Then because I'm a big user of alternative medecine, I made a connection in my head, looked it up online and figured out I had a systemic yeast infection. Lovely. A few more searches and besides eliminating all sugar and fermented food from my diet, coconut oil was recommended. I bought the concentrated tablets of caprylic acid and very quickly, all the symptoms disappeared. It's a fabulous anti-fungal!!

My dad has used ACV for years. Can't stand the smell of it anymore but I'm gonna make my hubby use it for his acid reflux. It'll just be an added plus if it reduces his belly fat  My parents also use the coconut oil for cooking/baking everything and they love it!!

I use the ACV as a dressing over cucumbers and apples. I do 2 tbs with 1 tbs water a packet of truvia and garlic salt. I don't do it daily but when I have a stubborn pound that wont move. I forgot about adding it to water. I will have to try again and I have heard coconut oil is good for you. I will have to try that.

Sounds good to me along with the coconut oil. Have to give it a try. Hypothyroid.

I have found a spoonful of ACV helps an upset stomach (nausea) almost immediately. I haven't tried it for anything else, and I've never tried coconut oil for anything but cooking yet. I've heard several positive things about it from people outside MFP, though.

I was wondering if you can tell me more about this. I saw this on Dr. Oz and wondered if it really worked to get your metabolism going. How much do you put in of ACV in how much water?? thanks, I am new at this!

Never heard about the ACV, I do have Braggs in my cupboard. I use Coconut Oil, I use Nutiva and you can get it cheaper on Amazon than in the store.

I usually add it to my smoothies or I cook or bake with it.

I have read the ACV can damage tooth enamel, so you should drink it through a straw...

I've been using acv, a shot in 1/4 cup water every day. I think it does help with fat burn. I also use it on my toenails to combat tonail fungus. A tablespoon in dogs water helps prevent yellow spots on lawns. Mother nature's cure. :)
