Has anyone out there tried ACV in water to help lose weight?
Also, virgin coconut oil?
I've been doing this since Feb. 14, 2012 and my stubborn belly fat is almost all gone. It has also curbed my appetite, helped with acid reflux and heart burn.
The coconut oil has seemed to stimulate my underactive thyroid as well.
Just wondering if anyone else out there has any stories to share if they have tried this or they are doing it.
Thanks!

How much and how often do you drink the Vinegar0 -
Well, when I sip 2 teaspoons of AVC added to 16 oz. of water throughout the day, I can feel the revving of my metabolism. My body heats up like wildfire. It has also stopped my aching joints. I can get out of bed so easy in the mornings now with no pain however, from what I gather the coconut oil also can have this effect and it also burns fat and revs your metabolism like wildfire. But, it does contain 125 calories per T.spoon but it's a good fat. Contains the same ingredient found in mother's breast milk. Interesting huh?
I broke my neck almost 4 years ago and this is the first time since that I have been pain free and swollen free (no swelling in hands, feet, neck, face, and stomach. It's like I'm finally getting my life back.0 -

Once daily. 16 oz of water to 2 teaspoons of AVC and sip through a straw. My stomach looked like I was 7 months pregnant and now it's almost completely flat.0

wow that's awesome!
I've taken ACV pills whenever I feel like my hands and feet are swollen....too much salt, etc.
But never the coconut oil.
Does the coconut oil act as a laxative? (sorry if thats TMI).0 -
I sautee cabbage and LOAD ACV on it. Needless to say, my stomach isn't flat. LOL0

am very curious about this..do you drink this first thing in the morning?0

I love using applecider vinegar. I do shots of it all the time. Dunno about cutting fat but it seems to have increased my metabolism.
I'm indian and we use coconut oil alot. But I have never heared anything like you claimed about coconut oill. Its EXTREMELY AMAZING for your hair though (ever wonder why east asians have nice hair, coconut and olive oil massages on your head is one of the few reasons)0 -

I've also heard that coconut oil helps combat alzheimers(sp?).0

I remember this going around about 20 years ago. I believe it was 2 TBSP a day. I use to put it in my diet Pepsi. It would take me all day to drink it because it tasted so awful. To this day i cannot drink diet Pepsi.
I don't know if it helped anything or not but if you do it i would suggest just taking it like medicine and getting it over with.0 -
Do you just eat a spoonful of the coconut oil ?0
-
do it like shots. Drink some water after it. You'll get used to ACV really really soon0

I have acv as salad dressing almost every day more like 1-2 tbsp.....I never noticed anything happen. I use coconut oil for other things but not cooking.0

Actually, since using both I am now very regular and my urine is as clear as water.0

From what I gather, using to much isn't good for you. The recommended dosage is 2 teaspoons per day to 16 oz. of water or you can always put it in green tea, the old fashion kind you brew yourself. Green tea is a natural fat burner and diretic so it's only recommended to have 3 cups a day.0

I use the virgin coconut oil on my entire body. I did my research on it. It does rev up your metabolism but I tried it for the sole benefit of my hypothyroid condition. My meds have now dropped from 50mg to 7.5 mg and the doctor says that he thinks I don't need my thyroid medicine anymore. He is amazed. I am too! The weight is falling off me and who can't be happy about that?0

HMMMMM! MAY HAVE TO TRY0

It must be Virgin Coconut Oil, used for consumption, cooking. I buy mine at Trader Joe's and it comes in a glass jar 16 oz. for only $5.99. I place the bottle in hot tap water and let it melt and I take 3 Tablespoons each morning. Remember that if you don't watch your calories you can gain weight. I have found it gives me tons of energy, it has stablized my thyroid almost to the point that I don't need thyroid meds anymore. Maybe it has helped me because of health conditions. Everyone is different. It's worth a try and if you don't see a difference, you can always use it for a deep hair treatment before shampooing, as a body moisturizer, shaving, and cooking in place of butter i.e.; scrabbled eggs. It's also know to cause heart racing effects, so you may want to start off slow, with 1 teaspoon. I didn't experience this but some others have. Google the topic of using VCO and decide for yourself.0

Use the coconut oil in place of olive or canola oil. I use it in the pan to stir fry, etc. Its tasty I love it and helps with belly fat.0

what ever you do dont burp soon after drinking that glass of acv water. Some one might think you are a douche bag.0
-
congrats! This might explain while I lost 3 pounds in one day after eating indian. Wonder why.0

I have had success with ACV helping my heartburn. I use coconut oil on a daily basis for cooking but do not take it by the teaspoonful as some do. I can not say that this has or has not helped with my weight loss but perhaps I will pay more attention to that in the future.0

I talked to guys in super supplements about Coconut oil and they explained that how it works is that it gives your body healthy fats that it needs. Coconut oils a very short strand of fat that takes too much work for your body to turn into long strands of fat (the fat your trying to lose). Since it cant turn it into a long strand of fat it burns it right away and your body says "oh ok, I am going to get a steady supply of fat so I can let go of some of the stuff I have been holding on to." You can use it on toast like butter or cook with it. He says its good on toast with cinnamon and your body craves fat. If you give it a healthy steady supply of fat like Coconut oil, your more likely to lose weight.
I have taken ACV everyday and I find it helps with my joints and helps with weight loss.0 -

I have taken ACV everyday and I find it helps with my joints and helps with weight loss.
I have joint problems (basically too flexible) and get pain and fatigue from my body overcompensating.
In what way does the ACV help your joints ?
I so want to get rid of the belly fat, but in my case it may be loose skin TMI I know.
I burn heaps of calories and weight loss was not a problem.0
