It took me till 11:00 pm, but I just finished Ramp It Up for today. The last time I did it (in July), I weighed 242 lbs and I'm at 220 right now... holy crap. Night and day difference. I was able to do the yoga portion of it finally and I barely even sweated that much through the whole workout!! (I used to about die every…

Hello! I heard you were low on Hufflepuffs, so I've decided to sort myself into Hufflepuff House, if that's all right with you guys. :) I'm new to this group, so could someone explain what the weekly stats are about and how to earn those points? I'd like to start contributing, if possible. :) Thanks, guys!

Well... the fitness profile you suggested for Hufflepuff doesn't really fit me, but when I was reading the book, I always felt sorry for all the kids that got overlooked and picked on (Neville Longbottom foreverrrrr!!!!!), so I think I would probably make a better Hufflepuff than a Gryffindor or Ravenclaw, (even if Hagrid…

Actually, you may find that you're ready to move on from Start It Up before the two weeks is up. You'd be surprised at how fast your muscles get used to it. I think I did Start it Up for only a week before moving on. Personally, I didn't like Burn it Up, so I just kept doing Ramp It Up. I know that's not how you're…

I have heard people talk about it, but I had no idea until now what was involved. That looks SO fun!! I'll have to see if I can get my husband to sign up with me.

I did Tae-Bo back in college (about 13 years ago)... I'm not sure if the program is the same as it was back then, but I know it definitely kicked my butt when I did it before! It really gets your heart rate up and sharpens muscle tone, too. :) Good luck!

Believe me... you will. What I found when I did this workout the last time is that it tones up your arms and your legs and butt like crazy!! It did pretty well for the core, too, I think, but I really had to lose some fat off my stomach before the core definition was as noticeable as the other areas. (I tend to carry a lot…

On the back of my box that I ordered this year, it says: Start it up (approx 25 min) Ramp it up (approx 50 min) Burn it up (approx 60 min) However, those numbers aren't quite right... I think they're not including warm-up time or something, because all of those workouts take longer than that. If I remember right, SIU is 32…

I'm going to do mine tonight. My Start It Up DVD is on loan to a friend right now, so I will be starting with Ramp it Up. I like the Ramp it Up DVD best of the three, and I did not really like Burn it Up at all, so I may just use Ramp it Up the whole time. In Burn it Up, she took out some of my favorite exercises and…

Hello! I have tried doing Slim in Six before and it is a very effective workout that gets results, but it does get boring kind of fast. I'm hoping maybe if I have a support group or a challenge like this, it will help me keep my focus. I just finished C25K last week, and I need to let a hamstring injury calm down a little…

It does not taste particularly good untoasted, in my opinion, but it makes the very best toast! I love it. :) The cinnamon raisin is good if you're in the mood for sweets, but the sesame is my favorite flavor overall.

I've been thinking of doing this, too. My first 5K time was 33:02, so I definitely need to work on that speed. Congrats to all of you who have gotten your times down so far! That's really impressive. :)

Hello! I'm originally from Michigan, but I now live in Winona Lake (near Warsaw) with my husband (also on MFP) and I love being a Hoosier. :) I've been on MFP since July and it's literally changed my life. I've taken up running lately as my newest adventure--just finished C25K and now I'm hoping to keep improve my speed…

Wow... you look completely different and much happier, too! Keep up the great work... you are doing it! :)

Wow... that is amazing! Good thing they're done filming the Harry Potter movies, or she wouldn't be able to play the Fat Lady portrait anymore. :)
-
I haven't done any of the other workouts mentioned, but I have done Slim in Six. It gets you results (and quickly) because the exercises you do are often the same ones you'll see in other beach body workouts. (I've been told this by people who have done P90X and Insanity). However... there is so much repetition that this…

It made me tear up a bit, as well. That tells me that not only are you doing a brilliant job on your weight loss, but that you are also doing a phenomenal job raising your son. What a sweet kid. :)

Personally, I think HOW you fight is what is really significant. There's a good way to do it and a bad way to do it, and it's not hard to see the difference. If you're saying humiliating or cruel things or if you start getting physically violent, then I'd say your relationship is in some trouble. If you're just butting…

That is awesome!!! As far as your rings, I guess you could do what high school girls do when they wear their boyfriend's class ring (wrap it with yarn or floss or something), but that might look kind of weird.

Not this weekend for me, but good luck to you in your race! Glad to hear you won't be running in the rain this time!
-
Sounds great!

I think if you keep going at this long enough you'll have your flat stomach back. :) Great job on the weight loss!!!
-
I never thought of this, but that is a GREAT idea! Thanks! :)

Interesting stuff! Makes me want to run. :)
-
Well... I think most people would agree that you shouldn't run every day when you're first getting started as a runner. That's a lot of hard work for your muscles (especially if you're heavier) and they need a day in between runs to repair themselves. If you don't, you open yourself up to injury a lot more than if you're…

Only got 2.2 miles done on the elliptical last night... I didn't get out of class till late and the YMCA closed before I could do more than this, but I'm proud to say I was the last one out of the parking lot last night. Woot! :) I'm going for more miles tonight.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but... count me in! I think this is just the challenge I need right now. I won't give up peanut butter, though, because I don't really view it as junk food. I get the natural kind and I use it in moderation.
