No way!! We're SKINNIES and we're Bushmen all the way. Rawwwwwrrr!!! :explode:

Half a ton of weight. Oh, my gosh. :noway: August really did get the crap kicked out of it!!! Great job, everyone!!! And, yes, Gary... THANK YOU for all your work and your motivation to everyone. :glasses:

It gets results, no doubt about it. I kind of got bored with doing it every day, but I still do it about once a week. The best thing about it is the results you get in your arms! Incredible!

Great stuff! I'm going to have to come back and read this occasionally as a reminder. Thanks for posting. :)

Ugh... it's 10:50 and I just got home from my piano lesson. I'm SO stinking tired I need to go to bed. That means I'm going to have to double up on my challenge exercises for tomorrow (tabata twice in one day... eek!), but I'd rather do that than try to drag myself through all of it right now. I did walk fast 2 miles this…

It's not the caffeine... it's the experience. I can do just fine with or without caffeine in pop or anything else, but I can't even be in the same room when someone cracks open a can of diet coke or pepsi. I guess everybody is different in what they can and can't handle, but for me, I have to completely go cold turkey and…

Well, all right, if you insist. Share, I just stood up next to my desk and gave you 50 jumping jacks and 10 pushups. Just because I can.
-
Well, I celebrated my rest day by doing the Slim in Six workout and now I'm kinda sore. Can't let those muscles get flabby before we get to the September challenge! Besides that, I still am not at all happy with my after pics, so I felt driven to tone, tone, tone some more. :grumble:
-
I'm sorry to hear that. :frown: I bet before long he'll end up finding something that's even better than what you were hoping for here. Opportunity has a way of sneaking up on us, you know.
-
I'm sorry you're having a frustrating month, but it still looks to me like you've lost some and I have to say, I bet you are looking a LOT more toned. Most of these challenge exercises we've been doing are more strength-type exercises, and so I know for me the chief benefit has been in how I look/feel, rather than in what…

For anyone else reading this, Tracy left a message on my wall that Gary said a full globe rotation actually counts as 4 jumps, not 1! Yayyy!!! Some good news for next month! :)
-
Mommaski... just reading all that made me tired. :frown: I really, really hope things calm down for you so you can not only get caught up, but have some time for yourself. And I thought I was busy! Wow.
-
You're not kidding, Tracy!!! With that in mind, I have a question about the globe jumps. He wants us to do 50 globe jumps in a row AFTER doing all that other stuff. I wonder if I might be counting my globe jumps wrong right now, because if I'm not, then Gary has completely lost his mind. Does each "station" in the globe…

Heofon really likes Brian Regan. :)

Just added 5.13 walking miles tonight for the team.
-
99 minutes exercise today.
-
You're absolutely right it was worth every drop of sweat! You're dropping pounds like crazy, szczepj!!! Way to go, SKINNY! :glasses:
-
Heofon just took off on his bike to ride 43 miles for Team Skinny tonight. All I can say is me and the 5-mile walk I had planned for tonight look like a couple of slackers now. :ohwell:

I just noticed that Gary said part of the challenge was to get a friend to join the next challenge. I don't know if any of the people I mentioned it to have signed up for the challenge, but I did get somebody to join MFP itself (lavy2sj). Does that count for a bonus point?
-
Contact Gary6030 to get on a team. He's heading the whole thing up. I believe he is looking for a few more people for one of his teams.
-
Ok... we have until Wednesday night to complete all the extra miles, right? Heofon has been working on a final paper this past week, and he has another he's hoping to finish tonight, so I know he's about ready to burst from all the sitting. I think he could be persuaded to get in some good biking miles. I am not sure if I…

Just read Gary's post today... I guess I didn't do the challenge correctly because I couldn't manage 200 jumping jacks all in one consecutive set. Oh, well... I did the best I could. It's more than I could do on August 1, anyway, so I'll be happy with that.
-
Thanks, mommaski! :) Ok... finished my challenges for today: 200 jumping jacks 100 crunches 10 burpees (had to do modified) 10 mountain climbers 10 globe jumps 10 squat kicks 10 zigzag hops I'm pleased to say that I was able to do them all at one time without stopping to rest in between. The only type of "rest" I did was I…

67 minutes today.

I did my 5K today in 54'55". I'll probably do another on Tuesday, but I have a class Tuesday night, so I wanted to make sure I get this challenge in, just in case I can't on Tuesday. Today's fun fact: I have never measured the exact distance of the path I usually take when I walk on the trails near our house. I discovered…

Look up Gary6030 and ask him about the September challenge he's created. There are like 400 or so people taking part on several different teams. It's Survivor-themed and REALLY fun. He's great at motivating you and very creative with the exercise challenges. I've loved being in the August challenge, and I'd highly…

Non-Scale Victory

I'll report in my weight today, but I'm REALLY hoping we can report again on Wednesday. I should be done retaining water by then, and I'll be SO sad if I don't get to hit my challenge goal because of stupid TOM today. :(

I did 95 minutes of exercise on Friday and 138 minutes today (Saturday).
