All this talk of nutritional yeast drove me out to the co-op to get some. I retract my earlier implication... Nutritional yeast is much better tasting than Brewers yeast.

regular grocery you might have more luck looking for brewers yeast... I have found it in the spice aisle. for great nutritional yeast you may have to go to a healthfood store. my understanding is that they have the same basic benefits, but the brewers yeast (in some cases) can be a bit more bitter. I get it in bulk from my local co-op. GREAT STUFF. I like it on popcorn the most, but really you can use it anywhere you might use parmesan cheese. I have used on flatbread/pita pizza's, mixed with greek yogurt as a dip.
