  • Being FAT and earwigs. Did you ever see the old Night Gallery when the earwig went through the person's brain and came out the other side after a tormented month of screaming in agony and then when it came out the doctor told the person it laid eggs. UGH, the scream that followed was epic.
  • Yes I did that a number of years ago. Yes it does work but like any cleanse a lot of what you lose is just water weight. Also that cleanse is very little calories so working out is not really possible during that time. You would be better off doing a 3 days Shakeology cleanse which provides a lot more nutrition and allows…
  • I thought it was all a bunch of baloney until I did this 3 day Shakeology cleanse with some friends. It was 3 shakes with water, 2-4 fruits a day and a salad with 4 oz chicken or fish. No dairy. 2 cups of green tea. Oh man I felt like I could climb Everest after 3 days and all my cravings for sugar went away and haven't…
  • Not to be a goofball or anything but is it possible that you could have overestimated calories expended? Not all methods are exactly accurate. Also maybe you forgot some little bits of foods here and there? Adds up. Don't overthink the whole thing. Losing weight is not a mystery--eat less, exercise more. I seriously doubt…
  • Lots and lots of water!!! Flushes out all the crap.
  • We shop there all the time as we wear out all our clothes working on the boat. Sometimes when we travel we don't bring clothes and just get some at the goodwill when we get there and take them back when we leave. If not goodwill, a consignment store.
  • Good job! You should be proud of yourself!
  • I LOVE that you did it as a family. I just read how this generations children will be the first who won't live longer than their parents due to childhood obesity. Way to rock it guys.
  • Greek yogurt. Has a little of everything and wont make you feel too full when you workout.
  • 85% of the equation is what you put in your mouth. Watch your intake, cut the sugars and processed foods out, skip the bread, pasta and potatoes, eat lean protein and only "good" fats, lots of veggies. Exercise will tone whats underneath but cardio burns off the fat.
  • LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Chapelle.
  • I have a Bodybugg and everytime I have done Insanity it has told me different calories burnt. The dvd"s vary and apparently so does my intensity. Even on the same DVD's, it has never been the same number of calories burnt twice. I guess you would have to have a monitor for ANY exercise to truly know what you burn in a day.
  • I can be a pretty good motivator--sending you a request! Amy
  • GOOD JOB! Keep it up and you will see more rewards!
  • PATIENCE! You didn't gain it in 3 weeks. Hang in there ---loose it slowly and it's more likely to stay off by changing your habits, not just dieting. Stay tough!
  • Insanity. It will kick your butt cardio-wise and build lean muscle. Everything in it works more than one body part at a time so it is a bit shorter and easy to squeeze in but that doesn't make it easy! The second month is a serious effort. Good Luck!
  • Just an FYI, I did this 3 day Shakeology cleanse and now I have a Shakeology every day in the morning and that killed all my cravings---so weird. Later I read it could do that but I was shocked. I am the sugar queen of Florida---cannot ever pass by sugar and turn it down but now it doesn't even interest me.
  • Find some friends who like to do some activities on the weekends like bike riding or playing tennis. Go to bed early and get up early---keeps me from hanging out late and partying. Get some workout DVD's you can do at home when you don't feel like going to the gym or time is short. Be strong and positive. You can do…
  • Weirdly when I began drinking Shakeology every day, my cravings and binges stopped. I did a 3 day Shakeology cleanse and then all I wanted was apples and cucumbers---LOL. I know it sounds crazy but I'm serious.
  • Check out www.thegraciouspantry.com It's all about clean eating and has recipes and lots of stuff
  • Awesome! You are doing a great job--way to be tough and push through.
  • You rocked it girl. Way to be strong and push through to your goal. Now the challenge of staying there begins---the journey is never over!
  • Mine doesn't have a weight on it but I can tell from the picture I weigh less. I'm not even sure I recognize myself in that picture. LOL.
  • Congrats on your progress, keep up the good work! Thanks for making me laugh. I love that line.
  • I am so doing that when I get home from work. HA! Right on---I love games.
  • HA! That was my big question too since MFP doesn't have those types of workouts in here. So I ordered a bodybugg to find out! I have been doing Insanity for a long time and I never knew how much, but I'm willing to bet it's a lot. When I figure it out, I will let you know. It probably varies based on your size and level of…
  • Get back on the horse. Every day is a chance for each of us to be better.
  • I picked a weight mid range of what was condsidered healthy for my height and when I got there, I decided I could lose another 15 lbs based on how I looked. I wanted to acheive goals that were realistic and attainable and not be overzealous. Now I am more concerned with fitness rather than weight.
  • Be strong. Sometimes change isn't measured in pounds. Evaluate what you did for the week and see if you can find some ways to improve. Measure yourself, maybe you lost inches but gained muscle mass. Don't be discouraged. It takes time to do it the RIGHT way.
  • You rock! Good job---stay strong!
