Congrats! You look amazing.

I am definitely hoping to be at goal. So around 142.

I will be doing a mix of indoor/outdoor. I have better luck with speed work on a treadmill than outdoors. So I will do that. All of my long runs will be done outside with a group. I don't have a set plan yet but will be finding one in the coming weeks.

I just registered for a Thanksgiving day 10k.

I read one of the Paleo books and tried the diet for a week. I gained 6 lbs. Needless to say, I immediately decided it wasn't for me since I am trying to lose weight!

LOL exactly!!! Hubby and I do our fair share of "fighting," if you even call it that. We have the occasional disagreement but neither of us are ever sleeping on the couch.

I run in Sugoi compression tights. I agree with not trying anything on race day that you have not already worn. But if you want to test them during training, I say go for it. My husband wears compression sleeves on his calves and swears by them.

Amazing!!!

I do a warm up mile (usually 10-10:30 pace) and then various speeds from 6mph to 7.3 mph for different distances until I've gone the total mileage I was aiming for the day. I also set the TM to an incline between .5 and 2%.

I am going to begin training for a spring marathon but I am only going to run the half. I have a running friend that is training for an ultra and I need a goal. So, we decided to go into marathon training. Not sure when I will actually run a full. I should add that I ran 3 half marathons this year. I am hoping to get a…

Believe in yourself and you can accomplish anything.

As a runner you have to realize that not every run is going to be the same. You're going to have those good runs and bad runs. There will be faster runs, there will be slower runs. I'd like to meet a runner who has never experienced this! Anyway, you can work on increasing speed by doing interval training/fartleks. Keep up…

Agreed. I've seen some of the most beautiful sights in my running. Makes me love it even more.

I used www.marathonrookie.com and the half marathon training plan on there for my first half marathon. I liked it pretty well. For my 2nd and 3rd half marathons I used the training plan in the Aug (or July..can't recall) issue of Runner's World and loved it. I agree with the poster that said to get fitted for running shoes…

I have a pair of Moeben arm sleeves I love for chilly, long runs. They have a small pocket on each side which comes in handy for the iPod or even my fuel (gels, chews). I also use a handheld water bottle on long runs. I ran another long run today ... 10 miles with friends... it went well. I am amazed at how much my running…

I did LAWL a few years ago. I have not done it with MFP though. I did lose weight and was successful using LAWL but I feel like I have learned more doing this on my own and with MFP than by weighing in at the center and eating their bars. Good luck. It's a great program as is MFP so I am sure the two combined will bring…

Keep on going! It gets easier! Good job!!! Take it from me... I went from C25k to now running half marathons!
-
Great work! Keep it up!

Keep running. You are doing great! Push yourself beyond that limit on your next run. If you went 1.5 miles today....go 1.6 the next run and just keep going a little farther each time. You CAN do it!!

CONGRATS!!!

I started out in Asics (and was heavier.. lol) and at my recent gait analysis was put in Sauconys. I have ran in Brooks before but notice they seem to break down much sooner for me. As far as blisters go, get some good wicking running socks.

Awesome! Congrats!!
-
I'm with them.. run those hills!!!!!
-
If I was already registered, I would totally do it. Good luck, have fun!

Eat what you normally would the night before a run and the morning of. You could do some light cardio if you feel up to it.

I run 4 days a week (speed, easy, and long run). On the days I do not run I take BodyPump (3 times a week) and use the elliptical or ARC Trainer at the gym. Sometimes I use the rowing machine as well and do a kettlebell workout with my hubby. I also like to take spin classes.

That's great! thanks for sharing. :)

Alice, good luck with your long run!!!!
