Same here. Actually spiders in general. Eek. And snakes or anything else creepy, crawly.

RunningWarehouse.com is where i buy a lot of stuff lately. Under Armour has some great cold weather running gear. I wear BondiBands (super cute styles) sometimes and they cover the hears but they don't provide a great deal of warmth in cold weather.

PR'd my half marathon today. 2:19:43 official finish time. I plan to write a full race recap (on my personal blog) so if anyone is interested in that send me a msg in my inbox. The race went really well. The day was interesting. I have all kinds of details to share. I am tired and worn out given the late start and 4 hour…

Running has definitely helped!! 2+ years and almost 70 lbs later I went from C25K to half marathoner. I have also changed my eating habits and do other exercise but my entire journey started with a 5k.

I got to BodyPump 3x a week. LOVE it!

Last year? As in 2010? Yes, they're worn down. I replace my running shoes every 3-4 months or every 400 miles.

What she said!

Either running an 8k or 10k and then eating small portions of whatever food is on the table. Then my regular "up all night to shop til I drop" Black Friday shopping!

Try not to do/eat anything new the day before or morning off. Whatever you typically eat before your long runs, eat it. For a half marathon/or other long runs I like a half eng muffin or toast w/peanutbutter. I try to eat about 30-45 minutes before I run, sometimes earlier than that. Don't wear any new gear (that you…

Half marathon #3 tomorrow! Weather - 52 and sunny! Details to follow. :) Have a great weekend!

I started this at a 38DD. 70 lbs late and I am a 36C.

Awesome!

I have been running over 2 years. No blisters, thankfully! I have lost toenails though. Buy some good wicking running socks! Your feet will love you.

I take BodyPump regularly. I wish my gym offered BodyCombat.

it always takes me a good few weeks to get acclimated to cold weather after running during the warmer months. I think if you just get out there and keep doing it your body/lungs will adjust! Good luck!
-
Congrats! That is amazing.

It is absolutely possible. Just keep trying to go farther each time you run. If you can run 2 miles nonstop.. the next run go .15 longer or .25 farther.. whichever you feel like. If you're running outside use lampposts or fire hydrants as your next goal distance. You may need to slow down your pace to build up to running…

I'm curvy and short. I wear skinny jeans (with flats!). They're comfy!

My music keeps me going wherever I am ... treadmill, ARC, elliptical, bike, outside running...

like! I may not be able to build long lean dancer muscles but give me some weights and let me at least melt some fat and build what muscle I can/do have.

Word. Thank you. The word tone makes me cringe.

Set the incline to 2% so that it is the same as running outside. Then like someone else said find your comfy walk pace and run pace and just go. Good luck!

First go slow. Don't try to go too fast, build up speed gradually. If you are winded you are probably going too fast. Best way to gauge that is to get to a pace where you can still speak. That should be your comfortable pace. A good place to start is Couch to 5k. Good luck! Feel free to add me. I am a runner. I started 2…

I would suggest some reflective tape or clothing w/reflective strips and an LED headlamp! Keep up the great work!!

This is one of my faves too. It's on my inspiration board.

Running makes me happy. Running is my ME time. I wouldn't get as much out of playing softball as I do running.. softball means I have to pay attention. I love that with running my mind can roam in a million directions. Running works with my schedule... the kids, hubby, work. And like others have said, I do it because it's…

I keep nuts (almonds usually) in my desk drawer. Do you have access to a fridge at all? check out www.skinnytaste.com for some easy, low cal meals. For my long runs I like Honey Stinger chews. I've also used JellyBelly sportbeans.
