I'm a barefoot/minimalist runner and I'd strongly advise you to do some research about this before jumping straight into minimalist shoes. If you are used to running in padded shoes with a large heel-toe drop, you can seriously hurt yourself trying to do the same mileage that you are used to in minimalist shoes (mine are…

Is it that time of the month by any chance? I gain that week EVERY month, but net for each month I'm always down - usually a big drop the week after.

Hello! I'm 32 and grew up in Indiana, though I now live in London (UK). Also married, no kids, cat!

I weigh daily and measure + take pictures on the first of each month. I don't think there is a right way to do it, and this works for me. :)

Same. I'm a data analyst for a living and I can't seem to stop myself from messing about with all my data...

I just cheerfully say "no, thanks!". People rarely ask twice, and if they do they get the same answer. Make it boring by not making a big deal of it.

You look amazing! Great job!

I've had a look through your diary and it is full of volume measurements for solid foods, which means you're probably eating more than you think. Get a digital food scale and weigh everything instead of measuring it. Calorie counts can be off by hundreds if you measure - especially with calorie dense foods like peanut…

I log from when I wake up to when I go to bed, no matter what times that is because that's my "day" and I find it easiest.

Like everyone else, I use it (both the normal and the chocolate) in protein shakes. It gives a great flavor to them without adding many calories. I've never reconstituted it, so no comment there. :)

I'm in West London. Log daily. :) (Fair warning: I'm not a Brit! Just lived here for eight years.)

You might be able to tell from my username which of that list is my favorite band. :)

Another vote for Optimum Nutrition's Gold Standard. It's the only one I found that isn't gritty. Tastes better with milk if you're having it on its own. If you're mixing it with something, water is fine. I put mine in fruit smoothies.
