Thanks everyone, I'm going to try a fast day today eeks
-
That's great to hear, I have quite an active job and eat very little during the day, never have, so I wouldn't miss it during the day, I'd just have to learn to not snack so much in the evenings. I'm going to try a fast day tomorrow and see how I get on

Thanks for your support :) I have lost 22lbs already and reached a plateau
-
And what would a typical fasting day menu look like... Thanks in advance

Have ended up booking The Mbrose near Santa Monica, Encore at Wynn in Vegas and The Clift in San Francisco. Just have San Diego, Mammoth Lakes and Carmel hotels to book :) x

The food sounds amazing, I think the calorie counting may have to go on hold for 16 nights!

Thank you all soooo much for the fantastic suggestions, we'll certainly take a lot on board and hopefully be able to squeeze in as many of these things as possible! I should really have added our full itinary to give a better idea, we fly to Vegas, stay there for 3 nights, 1 n in Mammoth, 3n San Francisco (booked the Clift…

Glad I'm not the only one!

Me feel free to add, Manchester x

Thanks for all your help everyone, it amazes me how nice everyone is on this site with willingness to share suggestions! I am definitely going to try and tone a little more, and maybe, like most of you say, the way forward would be with toning rather than losing another 10lbs!

Yeah I might find I'm happy at 110, maybe 115, I know I need to exercise more, for sure. It's just frustrating that I can't shift those last few pounds!
-
Sounds lovely! Thanks for sharing
-
Because I want a beard too :(
-
Some fantastic ideas on here, thanks guys! A lot of the food is "Americanised" food, ie you can't get hold of a lot of the stuff at English supermarkets unfortunately :(
-
What's spagetti squash? Not heard of it here in England......
-
Jeez, I feel like a crappy cook compared to you lot! I need to get myself sorted and start thinking up some exciting meals! :(
-
Sounds yummy :)

Yeah, I know slow is best. It's just so frustrating that I've weighed the same for the past 6 months while on WeightWatchers, hoping that MFP will be a kick up the bum I need

Thanks Emma, 104lbs is absolutely incredible, you must be so pleased. A big thing, probably, is that I do very little exercise and that really must change. But you get stuck in a rut you know? Gym membership is £50 a month which we can't really afford at the moment, and it's always raining here, so outdoors stuff is…

I wish I'd taken proper before photos, like in a swimsuit, and photos of me now. I'm really pleased with myself and how far I've come, but losing the last 10lbs is really not happening at all, it's so frustrating. Kind of for my hopes up losing with the illness, but it's creeping back on!

I'm 5ft1 (on a good day!)

My friend emigrated to San Jose last year and he loves it! So tempted to do the same :) Definitely having clam chowder in the sourdough bowl, had it years ago.

America, or Nice, South of France (or Monaco, round the corner)

All sounds yummy! Back on the wagon for me after having a rather relaxed weekend!
