  • First and foremost sit down and tell him how much his "encouragement" is bothering you. He may not even think about what he is saying. Second if he does not move on....you don't want a man in your life that is being a jerk and putting you down and then hiding behind the "I'm trying to help you" excuse. Third quit using him…
  • Wow.....congrats on being able to fully face that and post it for everyone to see. You have come so far and it really is amazing to watch you on your journey. Keep it up!
  • *double post...sorry computer screwed up*
  • Yes I take every Sunday off. No exercise and no logging. I do not go crazy with food I just don't stress about it. Works for me and it also allows my body a day to rest from working out.
  • Oh man my husband and I love Kale in a soup that I make so we had high hopes a while back and made the kale chips. The recipe I had was a little olive oil, salt and pepper. Unfortunately they were awful and we had to throw them out. They have such a bitter after taste once they are cooked. Maybe adding more seasoning like…
  • Love the Halloween series!!! We watch tons of horror flics but that hast to be the best. :)
  • Honesty is everything in any relationship whether friends or girlfriends. Not only will it help you have accountability that they know these things it will help them be more aware of things they do while with you. You don't want to just casually date a girl and she not knowing your past asks you to hang out at a bar and…
  • Okay first off not a good idea to be reading everyone's trigger foods because now I want to raid the snack/candy isle in the grocery store! Second mine is chips and then if I add dip it is even worse! I have always loved chips even as a little little girl when I was not heavy but I can tell you that it definately…
  • I was thinking the same thing. I get that too when I work out very hard. I usually drink water and mine goes away.
  • Wow you look amazing! I love how you wore the same outfit and the same place. You have every right to be proud of yourself!
  • I also buy candy I don't like so I won't eat them! I also found pirates booty and pretzel packs at Target that are healthier so if they do not get taken I will not feel guilty eating them.
  • Wow good for you in making a decision to become healthy regardless of how you got there. I used to be a one of those snobs about weight loss surgery until I met several people on here and learned more about it. My only reasons against it was because I had two friends that had it done and it did not work like they wanted…
  • You need to take a day off to give your body a chance to rest and muscles to recover. I typically always take Sundays off to give my body a rest.
  • HAHA I thought my sister & I were the only ones who said Thunder Thighs! I am so there with you but mine is mainly for my inner thighs!
  • I am glad you are recognizing you have a problem but I don't think just MFP should be your place to turn to. While we all will gladly help you and encourage you it sounds like you might need to talk to someone about how to properly deal with you body image, emotional issues and your relationship with food. I don't mean to…
  • I know it is hard to get back on when you stop something but you must do it. Whatever your doing now stop doing it and get up and go walk. If you only get a 1/2 mile or a couple blocks it is a start to get you back in that groove again. You might be feeling overwhelmed thinking of starting again and doing a 4 mile walk…
  • Santa Fe Chicken
  • Mine did not used to be until a year ago. I work for a small company so we were fortunate enough that they provided our breakfast and lunch foods for many years. So this in turn meant alot of high sodium sandwiches with cheese, lots of snack foods, donuts and alot of diet coke. Well I am the accountant/office manager for…
  • Remember fast food is just as expensive, if not more so, than buying health foods. You purchase one meal at a time for 5-7 bucks whereas if you watch sales you can buy a pound of healthy lean meat or fish with fresh veggies that will cover multiple meals for the same amount you spend during the week eating out. You really…
  • You can do it! You may not be able to do every bit of it when you first start but the important thing is to try and keep trying until you get it. I am very much overweight and I pushed myself to start P90X and I am starting week 5 tomorrow. Don't listen to that little voice that tells you that you can't because it is a…
  • Wow great job!
  • Holy cow you look awesome! You look so much younger! Congrats!
  • I never comment without looking the diary over! I am also honest in a very kind way if they are not eating enough veggies or fruits. I am not out to be rude but to encourage.
  • I am strict with my food Monday-Saturday. I weigh in first thing Sunday morning and I take the day off of exercise and calorie counting. Do I go crazy with food....no but that is the day that if we have a family dinner or an outing I don' t have to stress about it. This has worked for me my entire journey thus far. This is…
  • Probably eating too many things high in sodium....I bet if you drank a bunch of water and started working out you would see a few of those drop off rather quickly. You also have a new baby and alot of new stress that can take a toll on the body. Relax it does not mean you have to quit. Look how far you have come…
  • Very well said and a good reminder to keep going!
  • Wow you are awesome! So glad to be sharing in your journey!
  • I weigh in on Sunday mornings and record it on MFP. However I will check in during the week to make sure my body is not retaining water or if I need to step it up. I try not to make a habit it of it....it can become addicting.
  • My advice from personal experience is don't tell yourself you can't have a certain thing....because you will ALWAYS want it more! The only thing that I have completely cut out is diet pop because it is not good for me and honestly I don't miss it. Nearly every ounce that I drink is water with the ocasional juice or regular…
  • HAHA good for him! Isn't is sad though that parents will put themselves through so much stress and torment. Healthy discipline and correction will save them so much frustration yet they don't do it! Crazy!
