  • Thank you for this! I recently added sugar to my list too, but didn't understand how I could possibly stay under the limit. I'll start ignoring the natural sugar.

  • I've been going through the same thing for the last year. I gain, I lose, I gain... I'm tired of worrying about what I eat, I'm tired of entering what I eat (although I truly believe in myfitnesspal!), I'm tired of gaining and losing and gaining. But after reading your post, I thought about where I'm at compared to where I…
  • My wife would agree with you! I enjoyed Samatha Who as well, but I don't get into shows too much anymore for the very reason you mentioned - they get cancelled. That, and most of them aren't worth watching anyway.

  • Yes! Walking is what I put in the most. There are different speeds you can select from, so even if you're not pushing yourself you'll know what you're burning.
  • You're not alone. I've been watching my sodium lately, but Saturday I had two grilled ham and cheese sandwiches. Ok, I can accept that ham has a lot of sodium. But who knew bread and cheese had so much? Those two sandwiches almost took care of my total for the day, so I was WAY over on Saturday. I think you answered your…
  • Welcome to mfp from the other side of Iowa!
  • Thank you all for your replies. You're right, Losing_It, I know what to do. It's the doing part that's hard! As an update, I managed to stay under for calories both Saturday and Sunday, and when I stopped at my mom's, I didn't eat a single thing!
  • I hate to brag because next week will probably turn around and bite me, but this is the best week I've had for a long time. I was doing great a year ago, losing 28 pounds, but then my dad went in the hospital and eventually passed away, we went on several vacations, Thanksgiving and Christmas came and went, and before I…
  • I've found cinnamon graham crackers help when I have a craving. They are still 130 calories per serving, but that's better than a candy bar. I also chew a lot of gum. It keeps my mouth busy and it helps some with the sweet craving.
  • I've been losing weight sloooooowwwwwwly (40 pounds in almost two years) for a while now. Sometimes it does seem too easy. Other times, I scratch my head and think "Huh? That shouldn't be!" Enjoy the easy times. And don't give up when the "huh?" times come!
  • I'm a male, so I don't get too excited about clothes. But I've finally decided it's time for some new jeans. My old ones are just too baggy. I was around the same weight for 15 to 20 years, so I don't have any skinny clothes in my closet. I'm kind of like you. I'm not sure how small I'm going to get, so I've been holding…
  • Nevada, Your story sounds just like mine from a year and a half ago. My total cholesterol was 225. I managed to drop it to 172 by eating less fat and doing a lot of walking. I also lost 25 pounds in the process, which was a nice bonus. I didn't realize until I started using this website just how good I've become at eating…
