  • I have no idea what I'm talking about as I learned NOTHING about blood sugar from nursing school or working at a vets office with diabetics but last I knew diabetics didn't get a blood sugar spike with excesses protein intake. Damn all those dogs, cats, and people who weren't doing as they should and making their BS spike…
  • I have everything lol. I wear skirts/pant suits for work, jeans and cute tops for going out, jeans and t-shirts for the barn, and cotton shorts and t-shirts for around the house. I've got everything from a neon pink running shirt to a black pant suit.
  • Have fun with that...I prefer to fuel my body instead of starve it.
  • That does sound high. Make sure you're not over estimating your exercise and you have your goals, weight, etc set right.
  • Jeff Galloway is amazing! I did a half marathon in 2:45 and only ran 30 seconds at a time! It made a big difference in my run time. Also workouts like INSANITY really helped too. Don't forget the strength training when you are training!
  • In the morning after you go to the bathroom before eating/drinking anything! Limiting it to once a week will help with the drastic changes too. If you are freaked that you gained 2 pounds on a weigh-in then wait a couple days and weigh-in again.
  • I love your main one...simple and sexy.
  • Cook!! If you can cook and make at least some of what they eat healthy then it's better than nothing. Otherwise, there isn't a lot you can do. My fiance's uncle is HORRIBLE. He eats so much junk food (polished off half a gallon of ice cream last night - I was ticked because I bought it and didn't get any!) And we've…
  • My favorite was a guy sitting on the stair master reading a body building magazine - he was dressed in slacks and a button down and did not look like he had ever lifted a weight in his life. He left without ever working out.
  • 5 pounds: a new ring I have picked out. 10 pounds: a massage 15 pounds: a wedding dress 20 pounds: Disney Land (but it has to be done by Oct so we can do it when we go to CA!)
  • I had mac and cheese with dinner last night and for lunch today and I'll eat more crap in a min :p I can't wait til I weigh-in tomorrow morning because then its vacation for 4 days!
  • I had a REALLY hard time sticking to it. I was either starving on low days or feeling like I was stuffed on the higher days.
  • I LOVE shopping with my sister because she can pick stuff out that looks awesome on me...just don't tell her that or I'll never hear the end of it. It's about finding your style and what works best for you.
  • To be able to run in just my sports bra without being worried about my stomach. It gets HOT running during the summer and I have quit running (doing Insanity instead) til it cools off a bit. I also want to run my full marathon in Feb in under 5 hours!
  • I'm Renae! I'm 25 and am a finance coach and finishing up my RN, BSN (dual careers cause I get bored easy lol). I'm engaged and meeting the extended family in Oct so I'd love to drop the 10 pounds I've put on in the last year being with my fiance. I'm also going to be running the Donna breast marathon in Feb. Last spring I…
  • Our farmers market is a lot cheaper...but the gas to get there doesn't make it worth it unless I need a TON of stuff.
  • Just start again! Pick yourself back up and focus on what works. If you're losing movitation think about how different 21 pounds felt.
  • Today my goal is to workout, clean my room (it got rearranged and stuff still needs to be put back!), finish 2 chapters of Technical Writing (my most hated subject) and not grab any fast food or frozen dinners today!
  • Its a great place to run...ran there a few times. but PLEASE don't run down there alone!!!! There are some homeless people who hang out around there and that is a very well known area to run. I have had a friend who was rape during the middle of the day down there.
  • I know I'm down at least a pound which I'm thrilled about because AF decided to show up! My biggest challenge now is staying focused with school and not letting the fact I missed my promotion this month by 1 appointment. The stress is starting to get to me but I'm just going to book everything I can for the begining of…
  • You're killing me lol. I thought I had lost my mind when it said I wasn't a member :p

  • If you normally sit behind a desk then YES! 12 hours is a big deal. It's the 5 min walk around walmart that gets me lol.
  • Well, when she goes off on me saying I lied because she saw "the crap" I eat (Yeah, I eat fast food and crap) and she's logging how many times she went up the stairs at work it does get to me. She also has a "business" relationship to me so I can't exactly tell her how I feel.
  • Everything! Other than runs over 2 hours ;) I have my calories set higher (1,700) and just go with it
  • I "break the rules" when it comes to MFP. I eat 1,700 calories a day and don't count exercise (unless I run more than 10 miles). If you are eating less than a net of 1,200 calories then you can do damage to your body. There are several people on here who eat less and are "fine" and lose weight. I personally can't eat under…
  • bump..incase we have newbies :)
  • Easiest: Drinking water and letting go of the sugary drinks. Hardest: Working out when I see the scale dropping every day even when I don't.
  • I trained in 10 weeks, never have ran in my life (I was "fit" though). Take it slow and easy focusing more on miles instead of time. I love Jeff Galloway's method of run/walk!
