I've been running every other day and doing my Jillian DVD on my off days from running with one, sometimes two, rest days a week. I try to at least go for a walk on my rest days, but that doesn't always happen.

I prefer pavement, but I have ran three 5k trail runs which were grass, gravel, and wooded trails. They're definitely a lot more challenging!

Oops, I forgot to post yesterday's run. I ran a Zoo Run 5k, my city's largest 5k event. I finished in 26:33.77 (8:34/mi), 19th out of 139 women in my age division and 199th out of 770 overall. I was super pleased and excited with my time! I beat my goal time by over a minute! :)

I like Aunt Millie's Healthy Goodness Light Whole Grain bread. 35 calories/slice. It's not as thin as some of the other low cal breads I've tried, and most importantly, I like the taste!

Thank you!!! I wanted to add the NSV I had yesterday at my annual gyn appt. Last year at this time my blood pressure was so high they wouldn't even give me my normal birth control pill, but yesterday my blood pressure was 117/78! This is what it's all about, getting healthy and living a long life! :happy:

Hi! I'm a recent C25K graduate and have ran three 5k trail races and a 10k since. I begin training for a half marathon (October 20th) next week. I'll be using Hal Higdon's Novice 1 training plan. I'm looking for more running friends, too! :)

I got up at 7am this morning to go for my run and it was storming. I decided to wait until this evening, but they were calling for more storms, so ended up going at the hottest part of the day this afternoon. It was rough, but I did 3 miles. While I'm running, I love how strong my legs feel. I feel like I can go forever! I also love how healthy my lungs feel and I'm still amazed at what my body can do. I definitely get a high while running and then I'm in an awesome mood for the rest of the day. I love it! :)

Today and tomorrow will be non running days for me. Today was a rest day and tomorrow we're going to the zoo so we'll be walking around all day long. Thursday, I will do a 3.5 mile run and Saturday is my next 5k!
