Congratulations Lauren - you are an inspiration, and you look fabulous (but you looked fabulous in the 'before' photos too)

I can run for over 2 miles / 3km without stopping - couldn't run for 90 seconds 5 weeks ago. I can "plank" for 45 seconds x 5 - started off at 15 seconds . I feel as if 1600 calories a day is an awful lot of food rather than 'deprivation'. I can get into clothes I haven't got into in years. Best of all I can look in a…

Here is the Ministry of Sound running DVD that I have- and I love it to run to http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00EUCAHXO/ref=oh_d__o00_details_o00__i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I use the Couch to 5k programme and think it is really good - I haven't run in over two decades, and after just 5 weeks I can run 3km / 2 miles without stopping. I also downloaded a Ministry of Sound running album which I find really helpful. When I am running I try and focus on posture, how I run - where on my feet I land…

I have been following the 5:2 since 6 January - 24 pounds lost, but on non-fast days I don't eat what I want, I have 1200 calories 3 days a week and for weekends - I worked out my TDEE for the weight I want to be and try to stick to that (1600 cals a day). For me it works because I hate the deprivation of diets, but I can…

Some great ideas on this thread. Looking in the mirror and being happy with my progress and my shape is a huge reward. I would like to lose another 24 pounds, so do not want to buy new clothes - but I have a load of clothes I haven't really been able to wear for at least 3 years and being able to get into many of them now…

Good luck. Nobody likes to diet in the winter - but we all want to be slimmer by the summer. Just keep at it - even if you don't see immediate results, it is sticking to it that shows longer-term results. I have started and failed more diets than I care to remember - sadly I was in the habit of creating a very optimistic…

I am a bit of a shortie - however I am also 50 in November, hence the determination to lose weight before I get there. Happy to twin up towards achieving our common goal. Viv

I think this is a really good idea. I started my diet with a couple of colleagues - who have now fallen by the wayside. Having a diet twin to share achievements and swap tips with would be great. Me: SW 165 lbs CW 149 lbs GW 125 lbs 5'2" female 49 yo female I have no idea how to add people as 'friends' etc on this site, so…

I have been a yo-yo dieter for years. There have been many times when I vowed to 'diet for the last time'; 'change my attitude to food'; etc. etc. But every New Year, I would start a spreadsheet - and I have them all going back 6 years. I lose a stone over a few months, then in the next six months put it back on - and then…
