  • Congratulations! Way to go!
  • I started last week, so today I finished my first week. All you guys seem to be doing great! I plan to repeat day 3 on Friday because I can use it. It has been a difficult adjustment for me from the c25k, but I am going to keep going. This may take me more than six weeks! The important thing is to keep trying. Keep it up!…
  • Hello again. I am here with a two day check-in. Tuesday 2 miles Wednesday 4 miles Total for December: 21 miles
  • Hey! Looks like everyone is doing great. Saturday I walked 2 miles Monday I walked/ jogged 4 miles That puts me up to 15 total. Thanks!
  • I went to a second hand store to buy some clothes that I don't plan to stay in long.
  • I thought I posted yesterday, but it isn't showing up. So I guess I will put two days up. 12/1 2 miles walking 7 miles biking 12/2. 4 miles walking with a little running. _____ 13 miles! Trying to stay ahead because the holiday season looks busy!
  • You should feel pump! Congratulations on sticking it out!I had a rough month in November where I fought with three pounds. I've tried so hard to stay within my limits, but I let loose on Thanksgiving day...not too much, but I enjoyed dessert. Yesterday the scales started going back down. I don't know if I could have hung…
  • I had a bad run Wednesday, so I am dreading tomorrow. I will enjoy hearing advice that you get. I sure hope you will get back to it. I plan to try again tomorrow.
  • Day 1: 2 miles walking, 7 miles biking = 9 miles! Couldn't pass up a beautiful day, so I biked. That won't happen often in December.
  • That is definitely a NSV. I had a similar incidence. My state allows us to renew online. When my new one came in, I realized that I was under the weight on the license where I have always been over. When I finish my weight loss journey, I may just have to pay to get it changed.
  • Please count me in!
  • This is the first time I have ever joined a group. I finished C25K and wished I had a group then. I would often follow another group that was closed just to get encouragement. I actually started the Bridge to 10k yesterday. I am not very fast, but I manage to plod along. I figure I need to keep pushing or I will never…
  • It's tough, but look at the inspirational people on MFP including Leona above me. When I feel like giving up, I browse thru these message boards and look at those who have been at it for years. I think surely I can handle longer. In the scheme of things, it's only been a few months out of years of my life. If I can hold on…
  • Thanks! I've always wanted to try it. What a great way to do some trial runs!
  • I plan to eat a little more than I have been eating. I try to stay under calories. I don't think I will overeat too much but may indulge in a piece of pie! There will be a lot of walking and running to offset the eating. I am doing a 5k Thanksgiving morning! My problem is that it is a two day feast...one day with my…
  • I am doing a 5k on Thursday! I just completed the C25k program yesterday so I thought it was time to see if It works! :)
  • Congratulations!! I am a new runner too! I am hoping someday to be one of those runners who love it. Right now it is still a desire ans struggle. Keep it up! Way to go!
  • 30 day shred is tough. I think it would be hard to do that and the C25k too. Glad you are learning to love sweating. The shred program will allow you to do plenty of that. From what I've read that will do more for you because you will be building and strengthening which will boost your metabolism. I said I finished c25k…
  • Doesn't if feel great? Congratulations!
  • I just finished a running program called C25k meaning from couch to a 5k. There is an app and podcasts that get you running 30 minutes in nine weeks. It is tough but I managed to keep jogging for 30 minutes today. You can google it. It may be under c25k.com. If I can do it, anyone can. It encourages you to repeat weeks if…
  • I just got the book from the library, and I am trying to figure it out. I think this would be a good program, but not quite ready to start. I don't have a gym membership or much equipment at home. I was trying to figure out which squat or exercise to do with each workout. I would be interested in any tips you might have.…
  • Hi there. I think sometimes it is tough at this time of year, but you have to start sometime. I went over to your page and noticed you haven't filled out anything. I think it helps to list what your goals are and what your motivation is. To see it helps you get motivated. I have been known to go back and look at those to…
  • It's may be that they haven't noticed. I know you are so excited about losing all that weight that you think surely people will notice, but that isn't always the case. Perhaps because it is gradual it isn't noticeable. If someone hasn't seen you in a while they might notice more readily. I am right where you are. It has…
  • You have come so far! My goal is smaller, but today I hit my halfway point. I appreciate so much those of you who have been working so hard. I tend to spend time each day on the Success Stories and read about people like you. Keep it up!
  • You might not lose all you want, but you will be well on your way. You will enjoy the holidays thankful that you have already started!
  • That's great! Way to go!
  • I would lend you a hip, but I did a little extra this weekend. Mine might not help. Congratulations on the long walk. For me it was too beautiful a weekend to stay indoors!
  • Thanks for the encouragement and congratulations on your achievement. I start week 5 tomorrow! I love hearing from the graduates!
  • Wow! Amazing! It is so impressive to know that you did this day by day. I have only been at this for three months and some days it feels old. Seeing successes like yourself on this site is really motivating. Thanks for sharing your journey.
  • How cool! I would love to get that email! Congratulations!
