I don't think he can go into starvation mode, but he may need to examine his diet a little closer. I know that I get shaky when I don't eat for a long period of time and/or my meals are out of balance for example consuming too much sugar early in the day. He also could be consuming too few calories.

I too can relate. I'm a little older than you but was raised to eat everything on my plate. It's hard to get that out of your head even though you know you no longer have to eat everything on your plate. Welcome and if you want extra support, send me a friend request.

A few years ago, I met with a nutritionist who taught me how to balance my meals better so that I don't get so shaky during the day. I definitely get that way if I eat too little or not at all. I sometimes drink a glucerna shake to offset a really light meal or I'll drink OJ or have hard candy to help bring it back up.…

I'm a big chobani fan. I usually add a little splenda because I find it a bit bitter. Haven't added granola yet and I'm not sure why b/c I really like granola.

If you're not hungry and you're meals are balanced I think it's ok. I often eat 200-400 less than what it says I should.
