  • So, I just found out, on these forums, that you can wear your bodymedia fit in your bra! The data is just plain superior to the fitbit because it uses your body temperature and perspiration to figure out how hard you're working, rather than just how many steps you take. I stopped wearing it for a while because I didn't…
  • I think it's arguable, but I would say that not smoking is more important than eating right. So start there. I have two coworkers that quit cold turkey, and that's how my mom did it as well. Do log food during the quitting process though because you can at least not gain! Best of luck!
  • Thank god that I "grew out" of those cramps. I had "literally cannot physically move from this spot" type cramps. Painkillers did nothing, going on the pill made it "I will have to grimace at work, but I can at least function" But I have screwy hormones and if I was even 30 min late with a pill I'd bleed profusely (note I…
  • I try to do a majority of my cooking from scratch, but I'm only cooking for myself, so also not finding it difficult. Except for the fact that I work out daily and work 10-12 hour days frequently, so sometimes the time management gets taxing.
  • I started with total body, but eventually I felt like I needed more accessory work, so I'm doing the upper/lower thing now. When my running mileage ramps up though, I have to go back to full body
  • You, also, can be put on muscle in a calorie deficit when you're new to lifting. Newbie gains are not that big, but can be significant.
  • This thread is making me feel less bad about my LI. Mine is mild cramps and socially embarassing. And I can have two pieces of pizza and be fine... or aged cheese. As long as I don't have dairy every day and only in small doses, I'm fine. And on occassion I'll have fro yo or something that I will react to because I forget…
  • I don't react with whey or casein, but I do with milk, yogurt, some cheeses, and ice cream. I was REALLY bad before I realized I was lactose intolerant :( And the pills don't work for me.
  • I made a batch with alfalfa sprouts, chopped cabbage, mung bean sprouts, and mini shrimp. They were yummy. I had them with this peanut sauce without the oil: http://www.shape.com/blogs/fit-foodies/easy-make-raw-pad-thai-peanut-sauce-and-spring-roll-recipes#
  • I love spinach salads. Especially with fruit and, before I was lactose intolerant, feta.Goes great with chicken and/or bacon on the salad. Spinach is my green of choice for salads! I most frequently buy it frozen and eat it in frittatas!
  • I just made up bangin' bingo, but I picture it like normal bingo with common to do list items on each square. You win when you get 5 in a row. Unless you're playing blackout. Or loser bingo, lol (that's the one where everyone stands up, and you have to sit if they call anything on your board. Last person standing is the…
  • The best was in the weight room, a guy came over to me and said "Are you training for something? You lift heavy as ****!" Oh and second best was when a super fit guy I was into spontaneously said I have an amazing *kitten*. Go go squats :)
  • I'm totally working on getting that box on bangin' bingo. Something sexy about a cop
  • and Are top of my list right now
  • Ugly betty. And never America Ferrera! lol I dressed up like Ugly Betty for Halloween last year and we were twinsies!
  • This, exactly. I don't find oil to be satiating, so even though the fats in my oil are healthy, I minimize my use of it.
  • These are my main chocolate sources. I also have a huge chocolate-tooth, and with these, I can go weeks without buying processed chocolate.
  • I don't eat out very often, but when I do, I take the opportunity to get what I want, whether or not it's healthy. Burger with the bun and bacon, yes please! If I'm just out and about busy and need to eat out, I'll usually pick subway so it fits in my calories.
  • It's weird. I definitely get more attention from men... but it hasn't really translated to them asking me out. I suppose maybe I'm bad at flirting or hinting that I'm interested.
  • So, I briefly looked through your diary and there are some missing days. You probably have a deficit close to 3500 cal/week, so if you cheat bad on the empty days, your deficit could disappear pretty quickly. It looks like, according to the calculators, 2k calories should be a pretty good total (not net. Since that is…
  • I'm not a yo yo dieter, I was always on the chubby side, and slowly growing. I put on around 15 pounds over 7 years and hit 174 last summer. I decided I didn't like that, started working out and eating better. A few months ago I hit 142, then a health thing made me put on a bit back to 153. Now I'm slowly getting back to…
  • Make less dramatic changes and you'll have no reason to give up. Once you have one new habit, get another good habit.
  • age, weight, height, body fat percent if you know it. Also, do you work out? I hate it when people make blanket statements about 1200 cals or whatever stupid blanket statement people make. Since it sounds like you are relatively small, you will probably need to stick with no more than a 20% reduction from your TDEE. Note…
  • Eww! War damn eagle! I adopted my roommate's team. Although I kind of want to switch because I'm not so happy with her anymore.
  • lower case the img And congrats on your success! That's crazy that such a small pound loss makes such a huge size difference!
  • I'm more of the "how do you not stick with it" type. OCD tendencies, so I really stick with things. I just told myself that no matter what I eat I will be honest with myself and my journal. So even if I give in to bad food, I just log it. Often times, when I see that my calories are close to my goal, I avoid junk better…
  • te he he... I like this doctor!
  • I just did an intro at a local box last Friday. Then had a work accident Monday and got stitches so I'm out of commission until the week after next... but I did love the intro. Hardest workout I've had in a while, almost puked...the coaches pushed me much harder than I am capable of pushing myself.
  • @patsnyder89 Is "beautiful" an age? You look early to mid-20s @Vor early to mid 30's, maybe 33
